Can anyone help me out with making a table for my geocities page? I'm trying to post my weekly chart online, but don't know how to do the table. Lexxy, my dear friend who is basically doing all the work for me, doesn't really know either.
Can any of you help me out with this?

The easiest way is to use an HTML editing program like Mozilla Composer (free), Netscape Composer (free), FrontPage Express (free), FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Word, Excel, etc... any of those will work to create and edit tables (there are other programs too).

Here's an HTML code example (if that's what you're looking for):
<tr> is for a row. <td> is for a column. you can make the columns as big or as small as you'd like using the 'width' attribute. Widths can be either numbers (pixels) or percentages.

i do it in excel, it is a piece of cake with excel. all you have to do is do up the table nicely, go 'save as' and save it as a webpage, then upload it to geocities making sure you tick the box which says 'convert .htm to .html' and there you have it. all of my brosa0sam site (there's not much of it !!) has been made in excel, except for the links page.

I use WordPerfect when creating them on my computer...is there a way to upload the table that way? I'm pretty much a computer dunce. I only know the basics.

I think the HTML code is what I'm looking for... My question is, will I have to adjust the code weekly? Or is there any way for me to be able to fix it on the site, working on it as a table? I've no clue.

I only know the basics. uploading and creating are two different things. in word perfect, you should be able to go to "save as" and look for where it shows file type on the bottom and then select "html". once your doc is saved as html, you can upload it into your geocities account.

Actually, WordPerfect doesn't allow me to save the file as an HTML. However, Quattro Pro does. But, WordPerfect allows me to save it as a Quattro Pro file, so I guess I'll save it from WP to QP to HTML. Don't know if that'll work, but I'll give it a shot and report what I found in a few minutes...

I use Quattro Pro to create my personal chart web page, and save the file as HTML. I would do that, but I just don't know how to format the columns to the size I want...can you explain to me, in the dumbest way possible, how to do this?

Wow...I just gave it a shot, and am amazed at how easy it was. Is there a way to center the writing? When in Quattro Pro, left-click at the top of the column on the bar just above the sheet... that should highlight the column. On one of the toolbars, there should be alignment buttons... click on the one that looks like centred text. That should centre the writing.
