My DVD drive won't open. Everything else is perfect, but the bloody drive just stays shut.

My DVD drive won't open. Everything else is perfect, but the bloody drive just stays shut. Has the DVD Drive worked at all since you bought it? Does the drive show up when you go into "My Computer" ?? If it does, right click on the DVD Drive Icon (in "My Computer") and click on "Eject". If you have Windows XP (I assume that you do), it should be under where it says "Devices with Removable Storage". You may have the wrong drivers installed for the DVD Drive --OR it's possible that it's not hooked up properly from inside the case. If your computer is currently under warranty, I would not recommend opening up the case yourself (it might null the warranty)... you probably want to contact the place where you bought it from.
