this song was so awesome, the first released ballad by the Chicks. the entire "Wide Open Spaces" album is fantastic, i can listen to it start to finish without skipping a track. i love this song and wish that more music like this would be made today.

I'm going to have to "borrow" that CD from my mother's CD collection and give this song a listen. Honestly, I didn't really think too much of the Dixie Chicks until "Without You" and "Cowboy Take Me Away" were released from the "Fly" album. But I trust your judgement in music, Ben. I'm sure it's an excellent song. Geez, I could take a whole day and go through this forum commenting on old songs. I haven't been in here in 3 or 4 months...

This came after 'Wide Open Spaces' and I consider 'Wide Open Spaces' a ballad. Yeah, I agree for the most part with their first album. Although I have it on tape, it's still awesome and I gotta eventually find the entire album online and burn it to CD. 'Wide Open Spaces' remains my favourite but this song is a close second from the album.

This was the first Dixie Chicks song I heard and I liked it a lot. I still like the song, but it doesn't have the same impact on me now as before.
