i never understood why these songs, were so overlooked, granted, the material wasn't in the same league as the stuff they released from "August and Everything After" but it was still a strong album but both songs got what i believe was a great big shaft. They really should have done something, at least top 40 on pop. great song(s)! Great pair of songs.

"Hanginaround" did chart on pop, it peaked at #18.
I liked "Hanginaround", it still remains one of my favourite Counting Crows songs.

I never cared much for Hanginaround. I guess it might have seemed too harsh for me. I was always a fan of their softer stuff, like "Mr. Jones" and "A Long December."

"Hanginaround" was an okay song. I got tired of it after a while, though. I like "Rain King," "Round Here," and "A Long December" better.
