Joey Belville, lead singer of The Echoing Green, posted at the EG forum that Mark Reynolds from synthpop band Red Flag has recently passed away. However, Joey did not say anything about how Mark died.
Many of you have probably never heard of Red Flag. They were a synthpop band who first arrived on the scene in 1989 with their debut album, "Naive Art." The singer sounds kind of like Martin Gore from Depeche Mode; over the years, some of Red Flag's material received notoriety when bootleggers were trying to pass off some of Red Flag's material as being Martin Gore demos.
My internet radio station, "Totally Classic 80's," has increased the rotation of the two Red Flag songs in rotation ("If I Ever" and "Broken Heart") in Mark's memory.
NOW PLAYING: "Broken Heart" - Red Flag

As an update... Mark Reynolds was the lead singer of Red Flag. I still don't know the cause of death, though.

I was just doing some web browsing, and discovered that there's a rumor floating around that Mark Reynolds committed suicide (carbon monoxide poisoning).
I have no way of confirming if this is true, but considering how "hush-hush" the cause of death has been, leads me to believe it may have been suicide.
