While Big & Rich take over the #1 spot, with The Wreckers
close behind.
John Rich's upcoming single I Pray for You (from his first solo cd), is also on the
latest Big & Rich album, and is on his B&R partner, Big Kenny's first solo album.
Each version has it's own merits, John Rich's being more traditional country then the Big & Rich version Alt-Country, and Big Kenny's being of more a Adult Alternative/Pop vein. All of them could be considered for charting (give em a listen if you can).
Now during the early years of popular music, a song would be released by many artists, each doing their own version, and Billboard use to list all together. Later they would list each at separate positions. By the late 60's, it was less common. (Motown would record the same song by many of their artists, but only release as a single, the version that the thought would do the best, and if it didn't make it, they might release another artists version.)
With there being 'three' versions (by different artists), how would you handle them on your chart, since they are somewhat musically related and all are quite enjoyable and could get charted.
(try and think of a combination of performers that you like)
and now on to the Top 31:
