Plannine's Free 31+
March 23 2006
The 50 & Over crowd takes over (again) as The Kinks leader Ray Davies, and Pink Floyd's David Gilmore take most of the top spots on my weekly album & song chart. Other 'older ' musicians on the single chart include Jessi Colter (#7) Van Morrison (#14) and Chicago (#27).
The big mover is The Cars....I mean The New Cars, jumping 11 with Not Tonight.
I've quickly lost interest in Pearl Jams latest.....but I might regain it in a few days (or weeks),
as it only moves up 3 after it debut at #22.
While I passed on the last 2 Gorillaz releases, the latest has a chance of making my top 10. we will see.
The other hot Hitbound is the mix of Blondie Rapture & The Doors Riders on the Storm.
While not 2 songs I would ever play back to back, this mix works for a listen or two.
But it wears thin quickly. Both were good songs in their day, but the mix might bring both to a new audience.
