100. Jelusick - The Great Divide PEAK: #18 Weeks on: 12 This was the first song I heard from this Croatian hard rocker, and it was a power ballad that reminded me of the great classic 80's power ballads. He's since charted a few more times, but they haven't matched up to this one. 99. Duff McKagan feat. Jerry Cantrell - I Just Don't Know PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 10 Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan and Alice In Chains' Jerry Cantrell have collaborated a lot lately, including touring together and Duff playing bass on Jerry's most recent solo album, Brighten. This acoustic-based song was a winner, having reached my top 10 at the very end of the year. Duff still has one more to come with his main band - "perhaps" it will be a lot higher. 98. Texas - After All PEAK: #15 Weeks on: 13 Veteran Scottish pop-rockers Texas, best known for a string of hits in the 80's and 90's, have kept consistently releasing music, and this kept up the quality music, as it became one of my favourites from them since their heyday. 97. Carly Rae Jepsen - Surrender My Heart PEAK: #1 (1 weeks) Weeks on: 20 A holdover from 2022, this song, which reached #1 late that year, stayed on just long enough to make it into 2023's year-end too. But she isn't done here yet - still four more from Carly to come! 96. JessieLou feat. Julian - Found The Light PEAK: #8 Weeks on: 11 JessieLou released her third album, a self-titled album, this year. This song, which featured guest vocals on the remix from Julian, who also appeared on the remix to "Left On Read", is her first of four entries on the year-end chart. 95. Kelly Clarkson - Roses PEAK: #5 Weeks on: 10 Unsurprisingly, Kelly Clarkson's return made a big impact for me in 2023. Six entries from her made the year-end, and while this didn't have the longevity of the others, it still managed to make my top 5 from the re-release of her "Chemistry" album. 94. Laura Marano - The Valley PEAK: #19 Weeks on: 13 Over the past few years, singer-actress Laura Marano has had a streak of hits, mostly since 2019. Two of her songs made it in for 2023, both from her first full-length non-soundtrack album "I May Be An Actress, but I Can’t Fake How I Feel", but how high did "Bad Time Good Time" rank? 93. N Sync - Better Place PEAK: #6 Weeks on: 10 This wasn't something I'd expected scratched off my bingo card! 'N Sync had mostly been inactive over the past twenty years as its members, particularly Justin Timberlake, have all been doing their own things. But for the latest "Trolls" movie - a franchise for which Timberlake contributed the hit single "Can't Stop The Feeling" - all five members reunited for this one! It became their first top 10 hit in over two decades for me. 92. Take That - Windows PEAK: #8 Weeks on: 11 Back to back 90's boy bands turned "man bands" here - and while I've enjoyed much of Take That's output, particularly since their mid-2000's reunion - they hadn't achieved a top 10 on my chart until just this year when "Windows" got there. It was a long road to climb, but they finally did it! 91. JessieLou - 2Faced PEAK: #9 Weeks on: 12 Second of four appearances from JessieLou here, and this millennium pop influenced track led off the album, and became yet another top 10 hit for her.

90. Green Day - The American Dream Is Killing Me PEAK: #6 Weeks on: 10 Near the end of the year, Green Day announced their return with a new album "Saviors" coming in early 2024. The lead single definitely didn't disappoint me; in general, I find their post-2000's stuff to be rather inconsistent, but there have definitely been some gems among them, this included. 2024 will include them touring with the Smashing Pumpkins over the summer as well. 89. Avril Lavigne feat. Yungblud - I'm A Mess PEAK: #1 (4 weeks) Weeks on: 19 A holdover from 2022, this ballad from Avril finally returned her back to #1, and lasted long enough into 2023 to make this year's survey too! Still one more from her to come, but this is her duet partner Yungblud's only appearance in the list. 88. Tove Lo - Borderline PEAK: #11 Weeks on: 12 Tove Lo's another one whose music has been inconsistent, but I feel she had mostly been reliant too much on shock value over the past few years. Imagine my surprise when I really enjoyed this one, enough to almost make my top 10! 87. Fall Out Boy - Love From The Other Side PEAK: #8 Weeks on: 12 Speaking of surprises... I really hadn't enjoyed much Fall Out Boy in their post-reunion era, indeed I found most of it to be rather lacklustre and I flat-out HATED "Young And Menace". Imagine my surprise again here when "Love From The Other Side" ended up really bringing them back to the sound that made them famous and became their first top 10 in 16 years... but that success wasn't long-lasting as they ended up releasing a horrible remake/update of "We Didn't Start The Fire" that would be among my worst of 2023. 86. Halestorm feat. Ashley McBryde - Terrible Things PEAK: #9 Weeks on: 14 Another unexpected surprise here! Halestorm has never really had much success for me, but they did get the occasional chart appearance. I haven't been a fan of their cover versions, feeling that the originals were much better, and indeed, in 2023 Lzzy Hale, along with Daughtry, completely ruined Journey's "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" as one of my worst of the year. But after that... I didn't expect this ballad! Sure enough, Halestorm got their first top 10 on my chart with this. 85. All Time Low & Avril Lavigne - Fake As Hell PEAK: #13 Weeks on: 13 With Avril Lavigne's latest stuff going in a pop-punk direction, that also involves collaborations with fellow artists in the genre. One of the most prominent "scene" artists from the Warped Tour/When We Were Young festival scenes has to be All Time Low, who have fairly consistently put out hits for me since the late 2000's. Teaming them up proved to be a natural endeavour, as its placing shows. 84. Mike Shinoda - Already Over PEAK: #10 Weeks on: 12 He made his fame in Linkin Park, and ever since bandmate Chester Bennington's death, has put out a wealth of solo material. This has proven to be my favourite of his solo career so far, not counting his other side project Fort Minor who previously hit the top 10 for me; his career is anything but "already over" as I feel he's got lots of good solo material in him yet! Additionally, an archive release from Linkin Park is still to come, but how high did "Lost" land? 83. Echosmith - Gelato PEAK: #5 Weeks on: 21 For the better part of a decade, the Sierota siblings have had their band Echosmith hit many times with a streak of hits. However, one thing that eluded them was a top 10 hit which they finally reached at the beginning of the year, an ode to their favourite frozen treat. 82. The Veronicas - Perfect PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 10 Back to back family groups here, it's the Origliasso twins from Australia! A constant presence since the mid-2000's, they previously hit the top 10 with "Untouched" and the #1 hit "In My Blood". This song was "Perfect" enough to reach my top 10, and is still hanging in there right now; its low placing sadly is due to the year-end cutoff, but I feel it's still got some life in it yet. 81. Lenny Kravitz - TK421 PEAK: #6 Weeks on: 11 Even though many of his hits pre-date my chart's 1999 launch, Lenny Kravitz has still had plenty of success, including top 10 hits like "Fly Away" from the very early days of my chart, "Again", "Where Are We Runnin'" and "The Chamber". This funky number ranks for me among his best, as it was a well-earned and long overdue return to my top 10! This basically sums up the mix of funk and rock that has made him one of the best respected artists in the business and I hope he eventually gets into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where he's been eligible for a decade now.

80. Tyler Shaw - Driving PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 12 One of my favourite Canadian singers of the 2010's is definitely Tyler Shaw - he had many top 10 hits on my chart, including the #1 hit "House Of Cards", and while his debut album "Yesterday" was the biggest for me, he has continued to hit since, including this one. 79. JessieLou - Run Away To New York City PEAK: #10 Weeks on: 14 The initial highlight from JessieLou's self-titled album, "Run Away To New York City" lived up to its promise and reached the top 10 this past fall. Still one more from her to come - but how high did "C.W.M." rank? 78. Zara Larsson - Can't Tame Her PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 14 Another singer who has had some success, but reached a new high for me in 2023, is Swedish pop diva Zara Larsson. A top 10 had eluded her until this one finally made it for her in 2023. 77. The Beaches - Blame Brett PEAK: #17 Weeks on: 16 One of Canada's most successful female rock bands over the past few years has been The Beaches. This song about blaming her ex reached the top 20 for me over the summer, and has secured a place on the year-end chart. 76. Sofia Camara - Never Be Yours PEAK: #13 Weeks on: 15 Another Canadian singer here, newcomer Sofia Camara made an impression on me with this one. 75. U2 - Atomic City PEAK: #12 Weeks on: 13 To promote their residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas, U2 recorded this one, and the legendary Irish band just couldn't help but get another hit for me with this one. Over four decades of longevity and they're still making great music! 74. Dua Lipa - Houdini PEAK: #1 (2 weeks) Weeks on: 7 The most recently released song on here, Albanian-British singer Dua Lipa has been one of the biggest names of the past few years - and catchy pop songs like this definitely show off her appeal! Building off the disco sound she's been displaying with production from Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, this became her 5th #1 for me late this year, and is still riding high so we may see it in the 2024 year-end too! 73. Dolly Parton feat. Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr - Let It Be PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 11 The premise of Dolly Parton's latest album - recorded in response to her induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - departs from her usual country sound and includes collaborations with some of the greatest rock artists of all time. This one re-unites the two surviving Beatles on a cover of their classic "Let It Be" - and it wasn't the last hit from this album as Dolly is currently in my top 5 with a cover of Journey's "Open Arms", which will likely appear on my 2024 year-end. 72. Rina Sawayama - Eye For An Eye PEAK: #5 Weeks on: 13 Over the past few years, I've taken a liking to Rina Sawayama's music, and she has had many top 10 hits over this time. This song from the latest John Wick movie became yet another top 5 for her. Still one more to come, but how high did her Empress Of collaboration, "Kiss Me", rank! 71. Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now PEAK: #1 (currently) Weeks on: 9 And now we have the current #1 on my chart - the last #1 of 2023. It caps off a memorable year for Taylor Swift, with a billion-dollar tour spanning her entire career so far, and the continuation of her re-recorded "Taylor's Version" albums. This one, which was originally left off of "1989", became her 16th #1 song for me - the 5th most by any artist - and it is still riding high, and will likely also re-appear for 2024.

70. Katy Perry - A Cup Of Coffee PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 13 Originally released as a Japanese exclusive bonus track on Katy's album "One Of The Boys", the album's 15th anniversary edition included a re-mastered version of this song, which led to her getting a top 10 hit on my chart. Hopefully the new music from her in 2024 will materialize and that she'll carry on with the quality I've come to expect from her! 69. Dylan feat. Bastille - Liar Liar PEAK: #9 Weeks on: 16 I'd first noticed British singer-songwriter Dylan in 2022 with her song "Girl Of Your Dreams", but she did even better in 2023 with this one, a collaboration with alternative rockers Bastille. Their voices blended well together on this one, and it became her first top 10 so far. Her follow-up, "Rebel Child" is still charting and has been doing well so far in my top 20. 68. Matchbox Twenty - Don't Get Me Wrong PEAK: #11 Weeks on: 15 As expected, a new Matchbox Twenty release did very well for me, despite being 11 years since their previous album. This second single just barely missed my top 10, and had a good enough run to rank this high. But how high was that album's lead single, "Wild Dogs (Running In A Slow Dream)"? 67. Depeche Mode - My Favourite Stranger PEAK: #9 Weeks on: 14 As much as I've enjoyed Depeche Mode's classics, I didn't expect their return in 2023 to be as strong as it was - so much so that they managed three appearances from their latest album "Memento Mori". This, the most recent single from it, was just in my top 10 back in November. Still two more to come from the boys from Basildon. 66. Bathsheba - Something About Her PEAK: #9 Weeks on: 19 One of Denmark's brightest rising stars has to be Bathsheba, and this song caught my attention in the early part of the year. It became her first top 10 hit on my chart. 65. Chvrches - Over PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 13 And here's another group that, despite their success, had not reached my top 10 until just this year. I've enjoyed several Chvrches singles to date, but none like this one, my favourite thus far in their career. 64. Jessica Mauboy feat. Jason Derulo - Give You Love PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 14 Another singer that had several chart appearances, but no top 10's until now, is Australian pop princess Jessica Mauboy. Joined by her fellow coach from the Australian version of The Voice, Jason Derulo, and giving him his biggest hit for me in over a decade, the two had great harmony and chemistry here, reaching my top 5. 63. Jessie Ware - Freak Me Now PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 12 Jessie Ware is another singer that while I've enjoyed for some time, I've taken more of a shine to her recent material. This song, a highlight from "That! Feels Good!", gave her yet another top 5 hit. 62. Kelly Clarkson - Mine PEAK: #3 Weeks on: 12 One of the twin lead singles from her "Chemistry" album, this song certainly did not disappoint me - and quickly rose to the top 5. It was part of the first-ever chart domination of my top 3, as two other singles from her blocked this out of #1. Both of those are still to come, along with two others from the same album. Safe to say, Kelly is definitely my top artist of 2023 for these reasons! 61. Rêve - Whitney PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 20 A bright new Canadian shining star has to be Montreal-based singer Rêve. While she had a few singles before this, this ode to Whitney Houston and several other famous figures name-dropped in the chorus was the first one that really caught my attention, being a top 5 hit early in the year, and launching a hit streak for her. She just released her debut album "Saturn Return", and I expect this won't be the last we hear from her!

60. Reneé Rapp - Talk Too Much PEAK: #12 Weeks on: 16 Singer and actress Reneé Rapp, best known for appearing in the "Mean Girls" musical, launched her music career with the album "Snow Angel" in 2023. This song, the opening track on the album, quickly became the highlight for her, coming close to reaching my top 10 but spending 16 weeks on total. 59. Hozier - Francesca PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 14 He's been a critical favourite for years, but Irish indie folk singer Hozier took a while to release something that really resonated with me. I certainly didn't expect him to release something this good three albums into his career, but "Francesca" just had that atmospheric feel that I enjoyed and it became his first top 10 on my chart. 58. Taylor Swift - All Of The Girls You Loved Before PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 13 While a lot of Taylor Swift's vault tracks have been released as part of her "Taylor's Version" re-recordings, this one was released as part of "The More Lover Chapter" EP of tracks left off of her "Lover" album and did just as well as her newer releases, making the top 5 alongside singles from her "Midnights" album. Still three more from Taylor to come. 57. Kelly Clarkson - Lighthouse PEAK: #5 Weeks on: 12 The latest release from Kelly Clarkson's "Chemistry" album, which was sent to AC and Hot AC radio, was always one of my favourites on there and was a highlight of her Vegas residency concerts, which I got to see over the summer. From what I saw of the setlists from different nights, looks like the one I went to had the best choices of songs. Still three more to come from Kelly! 56. Marshmello, Pink & Sting - Dreaming PEAK: #1 (1 weeks) Weeks on: 10 Another collaboration I certainly didn't expect! Some EDM collaborations have had the oddest combination of artists... and I didn't expect Marshmello, Pink and Sting all to collaborate! This song, which borrows from Sting's classic "Fields Of Gold", reminded me a bit of Elton John's recent material, and became a #1 on my chart which is still charting now. This is the only appearance any of these artists have on here though I expect they will all be back with more music in the coming years. 55. Josh Ramsay feat. Ria Mae - Perfect Mistake PEAK: #8 Weeks on: 14 In the 2000's and 2010's, you couldn't listen to Canadian radio without hearing a regular dose of Marianas Trench, and indeed, the success spilled over to my chart, where they had many top 10 hits. Turns out, Josh Ramsay going solo was just as successful, as this solo hit, where he collaborated with fellow Canadian Ria Mae, was also a top 10 hit buoyed by strong Canadian radio support. 54. Sigrid - The Hype PEAK: #11 Weeks on: 15 Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid broke through for me with her second album "How To Let Go", which gave the enduring #1 hit "Burning Bridges". This song, while it just missed the top 10, still lived up to "the hype", as the song said, and almost makes my top 50 for the year. She's currently in my top 10 with "Wanted To Be You", which should keep her hit streak going into 2024! 53. Gwen Stefani - True Babe PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 12 Ever since the mid-90's when she broke through with No Doubt, Gwen Stefani has been a constant presence for me, both with No Doubt and her solo career. So far since 1999, she has had six #1 hits, and this one, which reached #4, gave her yet another big hit. While she has not had an album release since 2016, she's had a few one-off singles since, and I hope she'll continue with the quality I've come to expect from her! 52. Carly Rae Jepsen - Come Over PEAK: #6 Weeks on: 14 In 2023, Carly Rae Jepsen released "The Loveliest Time", a sequel to the previous year's "The Loneliest Time". Both albums are represented on here, with the former having three appearances, this being the first of those, and her second of five overall. 51. Empress Of feat. Rina Sawayama - Kiss Me PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 13 I'm generally not familiar with Empress Of (indeed, it's the only song I know well from her), but the fact that Rina Sawayama is on this song definitely intrigued me. Sure enough, it fits right in with her other hits on my chart, and was yet another top 5 and her highest of two appearances here.

TayTay, Jekky and Carly all with three to come! I think it's safe to say those three were my top artists of the year 50. Carly Rae Jepsen - Far Away PEAK: #6 Weeks on: 17 Here is the third entry for Carly Rae Jepsen! This album track from "The Loneliest Time" was a highlight for me, and when it looked like she was done releasing singles from it, I went ahead and charted this one too. Still two more to come - both from "The Loveliest Time", and if you've been following, you know which ones they are! 49. Laura Cox - Wiser PEAK: #16 Weeks on: 18 If there's anyone that I feel is a good voice for a classic, blues-influenced rock sound in a modern setting, it's the French singer and guitarist Laura Cox! While I did chart a previous song of hers a few years back, 2023 was the year she really came into her own for me. Her latest album "Head Above Water" landed two songs in my top 50... how high did her top 5 hit "So Long" land? And this isn't all she'll have - "Swing It Out" is rising up my chart now and could easily make my 2024 list. 48. Kylie Minogue - Tension PEAK: #2 Weeks on: 12 Over the span of my chart's existence, Kylie Minogue has generally been very consistent with getting some success on each album. This, the title track from her latest album, carried on her streak, and is her first of three appearances here. 47. Oliver Heldens feat. Kylie Minogue - 10 Out Of 10 PEAK: #5 Weeks on: 14 And here's the second! This collaboration with DJ Oliver Heldens was another strong effort from the Australian pop legend, also reaching my top 5. It's one of three top 5 hits she had in 2023 for me, with the other still to come. Surprisingly it's not "Padam Padam" - while I found that decent enough, it didn't quite make it into my top 100! 46. The Rolling Stones - Angry PEAK: #3 Weeks on: 13 60 years into their career, and the Rolling Stones are still going as strong as ever! Their latest album "Hackney Diamonds" got their best reviews in years, and this lead single shows that a group of 80-year-old geezers can still rock out like their younger selves! With "Mess It Up" rising up my chart and likely to last well into 2024, we may see that make an encore appearance next year! 45. Sam Roberts Band - Picture Of Love PEAK: #8 Weeks on: 17 Montreal's Sam Roberts, and his band, have been a constant presence on Canadian rock radio for over two decades now. He's also made intermittent appearances on my chart, starting with 2002's "Brother Down", which made my top 10... and while he's been on my chart several times since, he didn't make his way back into my top 10 until this song, "Picture Of Love". This was his only appearance on the chart, as "Afterlife" just narrowly missed the top 100. 44. Depeche Mode - Wagging Tongue PEAK: #11 Weeks on: 17 And here's the highest entry that missed my top 10! Despite this, Depeche Mode has nothing to cry about as "Wagging Tongue" lasted long enough to make the top 50 for the year! Still one more to come, and it was their big #1 hit "Ghosts Again" - how high did it rank? 43. Disturbed feat. Ann Wilson - Don't Tell Me PEAK: #5 Weeks on: 20 Here's another unexpected surprise! I've not normally been into the music of Disturbed, who normally do loud nu-metal music. However, as many artists have, there are always exceptions... and this power ballad is one of them! The soaring vocals of Heart's Ann Wilson definintely help here, too, and gave Disturbed a surprise top 5 on my chart. Ann has since reunited with sister Nancy and brought Heart back for a handful of tour dates into 2024, hopefully new music from them will follow! 42. The Beatles - Now and Then PEAK: #1 (2 weeks) Weeks on: 9 Ever since it was revealed that, during the sessions for their 1995 Anthology project, which gave us the newly released "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love", that they tried their hand on another John Lennon demo but had abandoned it then, and it's since been long rumoured that they could finish this, and Paul McCartney never gave up on the idea. Thanks to modern technology, the original demo was cleaned up, and the surviving members were able to finally finish up this song to give closure to the Beatles. I feel this song has taken on new meaning during the years that led up to its release, and with both song and video taking audio and video footage from "now" and "then" to accommodate all four members, the final product really does give me chills - it was very surreal to hear the Beatles all together on one final recording after all these years! Naturally, it climbed fast to #1 and has been in my top 10 ever since its release. 41. Miley Cyrus - Jaded PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 15 I've found Miley Cyrus to be rather inconsistent over the years, however, since 2019 or so, I've enjoyed a lot more of her music than before, and she's been a steady presence in my top 10 ever since. Her latest album "Endless Summer Vacation" has carried on with much interest from me, and two of its singles made it into my top 50 of the year; this was always one of the best songs to me and was a natural to make my top 10. How high for her international smash, that is likely the top song of the year in the real world, "Flowers"?

40. Peter Gabriel - Panopticom PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 16 It really has been a long wait for Peter Gabriel fans! His latest album "i/o" was his first full-length release in over 20 years... and judging by this lead single and some of the other songs I'd heard, it was worth the wait! This proved that nostalgia always wins, as this recaptured the mood of his classic hits! 39. Taylor Swift - Karma PEAK: #6 Weeks on: 16 Fourth of 6 for Taylor Swift here - and while there had been a remix featuring Ice Spice, I always preferred the original album version. As with the rest of "Midnights", this was a top quality track. 38. Foo Fighters - Under You PEAK: #5 Weeks on: 15 From "But Here We Are", the first album that the Foo Fighters had recorded following the death of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins, this proved that you can't keep a great band down. Dave Grohl and the rest of the band have proven that they are truly survivors... and have continued with the quality that is expected from any Foo Fighters release, as this recalls the feel of some of their 90's classics like "Everlong" and "Learn To Fly". 37. Sabrina Carpenter - Feather PEAK: #5 Weeks on: 15 Another singer I've enjoyed from some time - and indeed she had several top 20 hits prior to this - is Sabrina Carpenter. However, after appearing several times on my YouTube Discover list, then followed by its radio and video release - "Feather" quickly became my favourite song to date for one of many former Disney Channel stars who have continued their music careers past this association. 36. Kygo feat. Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson - Say Say Say PEAK: #1 (1 weeks) Weeks on: 13 Norwegian DJ Kygo sure has a way of taking old classics and keeping them sounding fresh while remaining true to the original versions. This was the fourth such remix to reach #1 on my chart, following efforts with Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and Donna Summer. This finally gave Michael Jackson a #1 song during my chart's lifetime, as well as the third of three different configurations that Paul McCartney appears in as he also duetted with Dolly Parton and of course also was on a song by the Beatles. Having played in other bands in his career, most notably Wings, and collaborating with many artists while also recording solo, this is second nature for Sir Paul! 35. Taylor Swift - Lavender Haze PEAK: #3 Weeks on: 22 And here is the second highest Taylor Swift song on here - and the highest from "Midnights". While this is the most recent album for which she is playing on her Eras Tour - another song that got a prominent spot in her setlists and that got a radio push and became one of her biggest hits thanks to the fans is still to come. So how high did the inevitable "Cruel Summer" rank? 34. Laura Marano - Bad Time Good Time PEAK: #6 Weeks on: 17 It may not be her biggest hit overall on my chart (she's had three top 5 hits, while this peaked at #6) - but it looks like "Bad Time Good Time" was Laura Marano's most popular in the overall personal charts world, as this became a moderate hit on a few other charts as well. It was no slouch on my chart either, being a top 10 hit and ranking in my top 40 for the entire year. 33. Niall Horan - Heaven PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 15 Aside from Harry Styles, I feel that, out of the One Direction boys, that Niall Horan has had among the best overall output of any of them. He released album #3, "The Show" in 2023 and this lead single was an instant hit for me, going top 5. 32. Kylie Minogue - Hold On To Now PEAK: #1 (1 weeks) Weeks on: 13 And here's the highest entry for Kylie Minogue! This became her first #1 hit in over 18 years for me - which is now a record for longest gap between #1's within my chart era. Given her continued success over this time, it was long overdue that she returned to the top! 31. Lost Hearts - Hate Yourself PEAK: #3 Weeks on: 16 One of my best new artist discoveries of 2023 has to be the Nashville pop-rock quartet Lost Hearts. All four members are talented multi-instrumentalists, and they put their creative juices together to create this catchy, well-written ditty that shows a lot of promise for their future!

30. Colbie Caillat - Worth It PEAK: #4 Weeks on: 16 It had been a long time coming for Colbie Caillat... and while many of her peers in the late 2000's-2010's female singer-songwriter mould have come and gone, I wasn't sure what to expected when it was announced she was coming back. Thankfully it ended up "worth it" and she firmly planted herself in my top 5 for the first time in 8 years. 29. JessieLou - C.W.M. PEAK: #7 Weeks on: 17 Here's the fourth and highest entry from JessieLou! Her ode to someone who wronged her in the past definitely has no filter, and this lyrically-raw track was my clear favourite from her self-titled album. 28. Jason Mraz - I Feel Like Dancing PEAK: #9 Weeks on: 18 I honestly am completely dumbfounded that Jason Mraz remembered that he had a lot of quirky tunes with a sense of humour in his early days, as I feel ever since the boring and extremely overplayed "I'm Yours" became my most hated song of all time, that he'd mostly been trying to recapture its success with more boring music. Thankfully, and surprisingly to me, he managed to do just that - go back to what made his early music great! It's just a feel-good anthem that became another hit on Hot AC radio, and his first top 10 since 2005 for me. 27. Linkin Park - Lost PEAK: #1 (1 weeks) Weeks on: 14 It's been fairly standard that, for anniversaries of classic albums, that artists will go back into the vaults for previously unreleased tracks. But how often does it end up just as good as the songs that DID make the album? That's exactly what happened here, as I feel "Lost" was worthy of being included on "Meteora". It's good to hear some unheard vocals from the late Chester Bennington, and this reminded me how great their music from that era is. 26. Michelle Branch - Closest Thing To Heaven PEAK: #3 Weeks on: 19 In 2022, "The Trouble With Fever" was a return to form for Michelle Branch as I felt that album was worthy of standing alongside her early classics. Unsurprisingly, its success spilled over into 2023, as this album highlight made my top 5 early in the year. 25. Guns N' Roses - Perhaps PEAK: #2 Weeks on: 15 Honestly, as much as I like Guns N' Roses' classic era (particularly "Appetite For Destruction"), most of their one-off singles from since Slash and Duff McKagan rejoined has been really inconsistent. I absolutely hated "Absurd", but thankfully this one just had them rock out and was their best in years, reminding me of their past triumphs and why they were untouchable in their classic era. 24. Carly Rae Jepsen - Shy Boy PEAK: #2 Weeks on: 14 I don't think there's any denying that Carly Rae Jepsen has maintained a dedicated fanbase and just makes the kind of music she wants to now - and the fans still love her for it! This led off her latest album "The Loveliest Time", and became a #2 hit over the summer. But it wasn't my favourite from the album - how high for "Psychedelic Switch"? 23. Olivia Rodrigo - Get Him Back! PEAK: #2 Weeks on: 15 Thankfully, there was no sophomore slump for Olivia Rodrigo as I feel "Guts" was an overall very strong album. This single from it, with a memorable video with multiple Olivias in various situations trying to "get him back" in various ways, hit the runner-up spot on my chart... but it's not her highest! We still have to get to "Vampire", how high will she make it? 22. Harry Styles - Satellite PEAK: #6 Weeks on: 19 While I didn't think "Harry's House" was as strong as his first two solo albums, I still felt it was solid. This song was a later highlight for me, becoming another top 10 on my chart and his only entry for 2023; it had three top 2 hits in 2022 as well. 21. Demi Lovato - Still Alive PEAK: #1 (1 weeks) Weeks on: 14 Another artist who I felt has lacked consistency, especially lately, is Demi Lovato. But she still manages to get hits here and there for me, including this one from the "Scream VI" soundtrack. This became her first #1 in three years for me.
