Future Hits
Lewis Capaldi - With You the Best
The 2nd song from his current album "Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent" to hit the US charts is currently sitting at #11 on my chart and missed the top 50 by only 11 points. Does he have enough steam to get a higher position in the 2nd half of the year?
Cian Ducrot - I'll Be Waiting
Irish singer-songwriter scored his first top 50 on my chart, and also is currently a Hot AC hit. It's #14 on my chart this week and is 12 points behind Lewis Capaldi in the year-to-date. The song is still climbing and should have a strong finish.
Kelly Clarkson - Mine
Not saying there's anything significant but the 3 future hits all deal with broken relationships. Kelly of course regarding her marriage, half of the AA that lead her new album. It's currently at #13 on my chart and is just 10 points below Cian Ducrot.
Honorable Mentions
Rihanna - Lift Me Up
A true split-eyar syndrome victim. Rihanna's hit from the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack peaked at #3 on my chart, but due to only spending half of its top 50 life on the chart in 2023, it misses the top 50 by only 5 points.
Omar Apollo - Evergreen
"Evergreen" was a breakthrough hit for Omar Apollo and it spent 3 weeks at #19 on my chart. Unfortunately, not long enough to make the midyear and tied with Rihanna for points but lost on tiebreaks.
Kane & Katelyn Brown - Thank God
Another crossover hit for Kane Brown, this time including his wife Katelyn. The song got to #12 on my chart but is on its way down and looks to be just on the outside. It missed the top 50 by 6 points.
