Based on charts from May 28 through September 3, 2022
Summer 2022
Future Hits
Post Malone f/Doja Cat - I Like You (A Happier Song)
This song has been fluctuating on the chart but still has some energy in it. Has currently reached a #25 peak and might have enough steam to get a spot on the year-end chart.
Harry Styles - Late Night Talking
Even though I'm not as much into Harry as I used to be, "Late Night Talking" so far has been the strongest of the offerings from Harry's House and while going with the tide of the chart for now, it should still get enough strength to continue and might even finish on the year-end chart.
OneRepublic - I Ain't Worried
OneRepublic's contribution to the "Top Gun: Maverick" soundtrack has earned them their biggest pop hit in 8 years and the song is still getting some steam here. Its current peak position is #23 but that could improve still.
Honorable Mentions
Joe Jonas - Go It Alone
Joe Jonas' solo effort from the "Rumble" soundtrack managed a #29 peak on my chart and spent 18 of its 29 weeks on the chart in the top 50, however the effort was JUST SHORT of making the Summer songs chart, and it looks like he will also become just short of making the top 100 for the year, but there's still a chance.
The Walters - I Love You So
This song, despite being originally released in 2014, became a hit this year and reached #18 on my chart. However, it looks like the success wasn't long lived and seems to be another just miss for the year-end here.
Ed Sheeran - 2 Step
2 Step reached #22 on my chart but was out of the top 100 after only 14 weeks. I much preferred the original version obviously. Its numbers are highly unlikely to give it a top 100 year-end placement, but top 150 is still a possibility.
