Yep, interesting.
None of the songs in the ‘Lost factor’ list are part of my favorites… so that may be the case for others.
It might also be because at the time they charted, they benefited from some ‘softness’ in the music scene. Periods where there’s not much big releases or holidays. Etc.

The peak chart positions of the "lost" songs tell an interesting story about the Globalchart contributors. Only four made it to our Top 10, with one reaching #1:
Jessica Simpson, “I Wanna Love You Forever” PP #30 Britney Spears, “From the Bottom of My Broken Heart” PP #13 Westlife, “Swear It Again” DNC Debelah Morgan, “Dance With Me” PP #30 Mariah Carey f/Joe & 98 Degrees, “Thank God I Found You” PP #33 98 Degrees, “Give Me Just One Night” PP #13 Sammie, “I Like It” DNC Savage Garden, “Crash and Burn" PP #21 Smash Mouth, “Then the Morning Comes” PP #16 Janet, “Doesn’t Really Matter” PP #4 Christina Aguilera, “I Turn to You” PP #4 Pink, “There You Go” PP #19 Lil Bow Wow f/Xscape, “Bounce With Me” DNC Pink, “Most Girls” PP #1 BBMak, “Back Here” PP #10

Contributors have a more discerning taste! If this is done in 2040 against current billboard year-end charts, I think the lost song list will have even bigger gaps.
