TEENAGE WRIST FENDS OFF FAST GAINS FROM PINKSHIFT, KATE BUSH
Following its speedy climb up the Burner 50 that resulted from seeing them in concert, Teenage Wrist easily earn a second week at #1 with "High Again". But they have other fast gaining songs to worry about in the coming weeks.
Baltimore pop punk band Pinkshift jumps 6-2 with "Nothing (In My Head)", surpassing "Mars" as the band's highest charting entry and fighting to become their first #1. Kate Bush is approaching the top with her 1985 classic "Running Up That Hill", which moves 9-3; it's a serious #1 contender for next week based on its meteoric M4B Radio success and Friday's drop of the second part of Stranger Things 4, from which a climactic scene in the first part's fourth episode was responsible for its mainstream resurgence nearly 40 years since its release.
Possibly inspired by the radio resurgence of "Running Up That Hill", Nirvana's Nevermind closer "Something In The Way" lands the week's highest debut at #29. "Something In The Way" returned to the alternative and active rock radio charts this week months after a streaming resurgence from its use in the film The Batman.
