JERRY CANTRELL HOLDS #1 FOR SECOND WEEK
Easily dominating over every other song in the top 50, Jerry Cantrell lands a second week at #1 with "Atone", the highly anticipated lead single from his upcoming third solo album Brighten. The song's immediate impact and its overwhelmingly strong attention on M4B - in just two weeks it's become the biggest hit for Cantrell or Alice In Chains on the Globalchart and reached #1 on the M4B Radio Top 40 - has helped it hang on solidly in its third week on, following a #3 debut two days after its release.
Jerry continues to face a number of building challengers with similarly solid early impacts in Thrice's "Scavengers" (4-3), Sam Fender's "Seventeen Going Under" (5-4), Poppy's "Her" (6-5) and Foxing's "Draw Down The Moon" (9-6, that one benefiting from the release of the album of the same title) and all four would easily have been #1 contenders on any other week, but face an uphill battle due to Jerry's unstoppable impact.
Three new songs enter the top 10 this week: JessieLou's "Let's Pretend There's No Pandemic" (13-8, following the #5-peaking "Identity Crisis"), Coheed and Cambria's "Shoulders" (18-9, becoming their fourth top 10 and first in three years) and Superbloom's "Hey Old Man" (23-10). Thrice leads three new entries at #36 with the Radiohead-influenced "Robot Soft Exorcism".
