• This week is another week for Lady Gaga and the record books as she replaces last week's #1 debut with Bradley Cooper from the movie A Star Is Born with a new #1 debut, also from the same film but this one solo. Here's a rundown of some of the records and notable achievements Gaga makes this week:
- I'll Never Love Again extends her record as the artist with the most #1s as it becomes her 16. The second place artist is Chantal Kreviazuk who has 13.
- With two entries in the Top 10, Gaga extends her record as the artist with the most Top 10 as I'll Never Love Again and Always Remember Us This Way gives her number 29 and 30. Eminem is in second place with 23 Top 10s.
- She also extends her record as the artist with the most Top 40 hits as she earns three more this week. The aforementioned two and Is That Alright?, which debuts at #35, giving her a new total of 47 Top 40 hits. Rihanna is next with 42.
- The record Gaga doesn't have yet is artist with the most Top 100 hits but her 8 new entries this week pushes her far ahead of her next competitor with 81 in total. Eminem is in third with 57 and in first place: Nicki Minaj with 91. It's worth noting that Gaga is lead for a majority of hers whereas Nicki has featured credit on about half of her chart appearances.
- This week is Gaga's 84th week at #1 in total, 18 weeks ahead of the second place act Chantal Kreviazuk, who has a career total of 66 weeks at #1.
- By replacing herself at #1, Gaga is the first to do it in almost three years. The last to have back-to-back #1s was Adele in 2015 with When We Were Young replacing Adele. Gaga is no stranger to kicking her own songs out of the top spot. This is the 6th time she's done so (7th if you count the time she returned to #1 after being kicked out by her own song).
- Gaga also has the Top 2 songs on the chart, the first time in over a year that happened. The last time was when Kesha had #1 and #2 with Praying and Boogie Feet respectively. As expected, this isn't the first time Gaga held the Top 10. It's the 6th.
- Gaga's 8 chart entries this week is the most for a single artist since Years & Years debuted 12 tracks on the July 21, 2018 chart. Adding in both Bradley Cooper songs gives the A Star Is Born 10 entries on the chart this week. Gaga holds the overall record for biggest album bomb when Born This Way gave her 13 debuts the week of May 28, 2011 - which was also the week when she charted 18 songs, a record for most songs by one artist on a single chart.
