The latest Michael's Top 40 sees a singer hit #1 for the first time in over three years!
BTW -- if The Max Chart isn't included in the main chart, this one can be since it is more current-song based now.
I'll post the Top 20:
#20 -- The One You Love - Rufus Wainwright (22)
#19 -- Ready For Your Love - Chantal Kreviazuk (14)
#18 -- Collide - Howie Day (19)
#17 -- Sleeping To Dream - Jason Mraz (16)
#16 -- Encore - Eminem (12)
#15 -- Day One - Sarah Slean (11)
#14 -- Mr. Brightside - Killers (20)
#13 -- Sunday Morning - Maroon 5 (9)
#12 -- Hollaback - Gwen (17)
#11 -- Must Get Out - Maroon 5 (15)
#10 -- Picture Postcard - Melissa McClelland (13)
#9 -- White Suit - Simon Wilcox (10)
#8 -- Sleeps With Butterflies - Tori Amos (8)
#7 -- He Wasn't - Avril Lavigne (5)
#6 -- Just Friends - Gavin DeGraw (7)
#5 -- Mary - Sarah Slean (6)
#4 -- Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - Green Day (3)
#3 -- Stupid Memory - Sondre Lerche (4)
#2 -- Back To Me - Kathleen Edwards (1)
#1 -- So Called Chaos - Alanis Morissette (2)
#1 Below The Chart -- Tuesday Morning - Michelle Branch
#1 Recurrent -- Nobody's Home - Avril Lavigne
#1 Most Added -- Love Will Save The Day - David Usher
#1 Most Increased -- Love Will Save The Day - David Usher
#1 Biggest Mover -- Fall To Pieces - Avril Lavigne
Alanis used to be the queen of #1s back in the late 90s when she had numerous chart toppers but since 2000 has only made it there a few times with 'Princes Familiar', 'These Are The Thoughts' and 'Hands Clean'. Since 'HC', her last #1, she charted eight times without topping MT40 but her latest 'So Called Chaos' moves into the top position!
Avril's 'He Wasn't loses its bullet this week due to her latest latest single 'Fall To Pieces' which jumps 30-21 and is the biggest mover.
