160. Phil Collins & Philip Bailey – “Easy Lover” (1985)Such a kick ass rock song! Ever since I was introduced to Phil this has been a favorite of mine. Love it! 159. Survivor – “Burning Heart” (1985)This song is so awesome! One of my absolute favorites from the 80's. 158. Backstreet Boys – “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” (1998)Come on, this is a 90's classic! If you are a 90's kid and you don’t like this song, then you my friend are a LIAR. I always loved the video for this one as well! 157. Coolio – “Gangsta’s Paradise” (1995)Another 90's classic and one of the best hip-hop songs ever! 156. Christina Aguilera – “Genie In A Bottle” (1999)I remember when I first heard this one when she performed it at the 1999 Teen Choice Awards, and I loved it immediately. She became a huge favorite of mine ever since and this is still my favorite from her to this day! 155. Britney Spears – “Baby One More Time” (1999)I still remember the first time I heard this song like it was yesterday - in fact, I'll let 2014 me talk about it: I was first introduced to Britney Spears in January 1999 when I was six years old. I had the day off from school because it was Martin Luther King day, and since Nickelodeon was airing Nick Jr. at the time and wasn’t going to air regular Nick programming until like 2:00, I spent most of the early part of my day watching VH1 and MTV. Both channels kept airing THAT DAMN LENNY KRAVITZ VIDEO FOR “FLY AWAY” and I wanted to get away from it SO BADLY!! I HATED that song omg. I still do! I was so afraid whenever it would come on because I knew I’d have a bitchfit. At one point, VH1 cut to a commercial, so I checked to see what MTV were playing. It was the last minute of “Baby One More Time” – the scene where she’s at the gymnasium. I’ve never heard the song before in my life, but just a few seconds into it and I was singing along! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see the credits so I had no clue who the artist was or what the song was called (although I was pretty positive that it WAS called “Hit Me Baby One More Time”), all I knew was that I LOVED this song and NEEDED to know who it was. A few days later, I found out through Mike that it was Britney and that is when my love affair with her began. Oh, and guess what video MTV decided to play right after Britney’s? “FLY AWAY”!!! UGH!!!!! Still love this song, easily my favorite from her, so many great memories associated with this song. Oh, and "Fly Away" still blows. 154. Pearl Jam – “Black” (1992)One of their best ballads ever! Excellent song. 153. Phil Collins – “Something Happened On The Way To Heaven” (1990)My second favorite from him, great song! 152. Pearl Jam – “I Got Id” (1995)This was always one of my favorites from them, and although it was a top 10 hit on the Hot 100, I feel like this one is very underrated. 151. Soundgarden – “Blow Up The Outside World” (1996)Try not to judge me too hard when I say this - but then again, how much worse could it be when I Book Club'd a #1 hit - I first heard this song LAST YEAR. I saw the video on MTV Classic and fell in love with it. I'm still completely dumbfounded that it took me so long to discover this one, but better late than never, right? My second favorite song of theirs. So badass. 1980 (1) 1983 (1) 1992 (1) 1993 (1) 1995 (1) 1996 (1) 1997 (1) 1998 (1) 1999 (1) 2000 (1) 150. Spice Girls 149. Vertical Horizon 148. Radiohead 147. 150. Spice Girls – “2 Become 1” (1997)Like all of their other hits, I loved this one ever since it was out, and it still holds up very well for me to this day, especially since I have a lot of nostalgia for the Spice Girls. I love the music video for this as well when they're in Times Square. 149. Vertical Horizon – “Everything You Want” (2000)One of the first rock songs I ever loved, and like "2 Become 1", has a really good music video. 148. Radiohead – “Creep” (1993)Yes I know, it doesn’t get more hipster than Radiohead, but this is an excellent song and you know it. Plus, it reminds me of my favorite South Park episode. 147. Pat Benatar – “Hell Is For Children” (1980)A very powerful song that was written about child abuse. One of my favorite Pat songs. I wish artists today did more songs like this because let's be real here - how many songs do we need about getting shitfaced at the club? It's getting older than Geezer Lover 's personal chart. 146. Gin Blossoms – “Til I Hear It From You” (1995)Every time I hear this song, it just takes me back to the 90's. I used to hear of his song all the time growing up, and to this day I still absolutely love it. 145. Nirvana – “Come As You Are” (1992)I know @wife and Courage are both going to disagree with me on this one, but this is the JessieLou list. Not the John list, not the Sebastian list, but the JessieLou list and, and JessieLou thinks this song is f*cking awesome. 144. Def Leppard – “Rock Of Ages” (1983)One of the first heavy metal songs I ever loved, one of my favorites from them! 143. Gin Blossoms – “Follow You Down” (1996)Love this one, my favorite from them! 142. Pearl Jam – “Last Kiss” (1999)I knew this one when it was out and I loved it, but I had no idea until years later that this was a Pearl Jam song. I still love this one, but there is one other song from them that has aged better for me - and you won't be finding out what it is for awhile! 141. Third Eye Blind – “Jumper” (1998)"Semi-Charmed Life" was a huge favorite of mine growing up, as was this one, but I’ve grown to love this one more. This is another one that just totally takes me back to that time, just a great song. 1973 (1) 1980 (1) 1986 (1) 1995 (1) 1996 (2) 1998 (2) 1999 (2) 140. Sheryl Crow 139. Fuel 138. Everclear 137. Foo Fighters 136. No Doubt 135. Bush 134. Beastie Boys 133. Carly Simon 132. Pat Benatar 131. No Doubt

"2 Become 1" was pretty controversial here at the time haha. But it's one of my favourite songs from the girls, and I agree, amazing music video!
"Everything You Want" was one of the first rockier songs I liked.

Hey guys, I did not forget about this. I REALLY apologize for the delay. It was a pain in the ass posting this with my old laptop because it was the slowest f*cking laptop in the world, but now I have a new one that doesn't suck so YAY! I can go back to posting this! 140. Sheryl Crow – “My Favorite Mistake” (1998)I remember when this was a brand new single and now it’s 20 years old, what the actual f*ck. Absolutely loved this from day 1. My favorite from her. 139. Fuel – “Shimmer” (1998)Excellent song that I surprisingly did not discover until around 2006. My favorite from them! 138. Everclear – “Father Of Mine” (1999)I didn’t really care for “Wonderful” or “AM Radio” when they were out (the former has since grown on me). I first heard this in - of all places - my reading class in 7th grade, back in late 2004. It was a Friday, and my teacher was playing music for us, I can’t remember for the life of me why, but I wasn’t complaining. She played “Under Pressure”, which everyone thought was “Ice Ice Baby”, she played “Bye Bye Bye”, and then she played this, which I didn’t recognize but I loved it. Another student and I asked her who it was and when she told me it was Everclear I went and looked for this song when I came home. This was the song that really made me pay attention to them and is why their incredibly mediocre 2006 single “Hater” was a #1 on my chart. Definitely my favorite from them. 137. Foo Fighters – “Learn To Fly” (1999)One of the earliest examples of me liking rock music. This was the first song I ever heard from them and although I did like it at the time, it wasn’t a favorite. Who would’ve thought 18 years later I’d end up seeing them in concert? Now this is one of my favorites from them. And the video is still awesome. 136. No Doubt – “Just A Girl” (1996)I liked Gwen Stefani as a solo artist, but I will always associate her most for songs like this. Such a kick ass song! Although there is one other song of theirs I like more - and it's coming up later in this post! 135. Bush – “Little Things” (1995)One of the most kick ass alternative songs ever! My favorite from them. 134. Beastie Boys – “No Sleep ‘Til Brooklyn” (1986)It's very close between this and "Sabotage", but I'd say this is my favorite from them. One of the catchiest rap songs ever! 133. Carly Simon – “You’re So Vain” (1973)One of the first 70's songs I ever loved. I love any song that calls out someone for being full of themselves, and I've always been intrigued by the whole mystery about who it's about (my money is on Warren Beatty). My favorite song from Carlegend Slaymon! 132. Pat Benatar – “Heartbreaker” (1980)I know she debuted with "Rated X" and "I Need A Lover" in Canada, but here in the U.S., this has to be one of the most iconic and badass debut singles ever. One of my favorite Pat songs! 131. No Doubt – “Don’t Speak” (1996)My introduction to No Doubt/Gwen. Loved this song ever since I was a kid and it has aged extremely well. Excellent song. 1976 (1) 1985 (1) 1992 (1) 1993 (1) 1994 (1) 1995 (1) 1996 (2) 1998 (2) 130. Natalie Imbruglia 129. The Cranberries 128. Pearl Jam 127. Alice In Chains 126. Mariah Carey 125. Garbage 124. Heart 123. Garbage 122. Heart 121. Natalie Imbruglia

What an amazing set! Jess with the "comeback" hits! (Get it? Cos you took so long to update... Anyway) 1998's "My Favourite Mistake" - just incredible from Sheryl. "Shimmer" is the one Fuel song I know (and love!) I don't know "Father Of Mine" but I was pretty obsessed with "Wonderful" when it came out. A girl-friend of mine actually hung out with Everclear after their concert here a few years ago and I was like "Ahhhh!!!" when she told me. "Learn To Fly" is my favourite from Foo Fighters, and I am totally agreed, such an awesome music video to match! "Just A Girl" isn't my favourite song from No Doubt, but "Don't Speak" definitely is! Aged well for sure. I'm amazed that "You're So Vain" came out 10 years before I was born. I remember hearing it on my parent's radio as a kid and thought for ages that a guy was singing it Now I listen to it and can't believe that I thought that. And I love "Heartbreaker"

130. Natalie Imbruglia – “Wishing I Was There” (1998)5-year-old me was obsessed with "Torn" when it was out, and one day my family and I went to Borders when I saw there was one copy of her Left Of The Middle album left, and I begged my Dad to get it for me. I absolutely loved this album and listened to it on a regular basis, and every song on it takes me back to my childhood. This is one song that was an instant highlight for me, and I was so excited when I heard in the summer of 1998 that it was going to be released as a single. I remember seeing the video on the VH1 Top 10 Countdown and I was rooting for it so hard for it to become a smash hit. Unfortunately, it didn't, but at least it was a smash hit on the chart that actually matters - this one. 129. The Cranberries – “Linger” (1993)I first heard this song around late 2005/early 2006 shortly after I discovered the excellent "Zombie". I loved it right away. Dolores O'Riordan was always one of those artists whose voice I could just listen to on ANYTHING. I remember in the summer of 2006, my family and I went to see the Adam Sandler movie Click in theaters, and there was a running joke in the movie that involved this song. Near the end of the movie there was a scene with Dolores singing this and I WAS TRYING SO HARD NOT TO LOSE MY SHIT IN THE THEATERS. That's just one of the many memories I have involving this incredibly phenomenal singer whose death I still cannot get over. The Cranberries have seven songs still to come - including two in the next set which I'll be posting in a few minutes! 128. Pearl Jam – “Better Man” (1994)When I first started getting into Pearl Jam around 2005-2006, this song was instantly a highlight for me in their catalogue and to this day has aged very well for me. 90's alt rock at it's finest. Pearl Jam have two more songs still to come - one of them is in the next set, and is also from this album! 127. Alice In Chains – “Angry Chair” (1992)The first of three appearances for AIC! I actually don't remember when I first heard this, but I'm sure it was sometime in the mid to late 2000's. When I first heard it, I liked it but it wasn't a favorite of mine, but during the last year or so I have really grown to f*cking love this. Excellent song! 126. Mariah Carey – “Always Be My Baby” (1996)The first Mariah song I ever heard, and one of the first pop songs I ever loved. Just another song that totally takes me back to my childhood. I think this will always be my favorite from her. Get it? Always be my favorite. 125. Garbage – “Vow” (1995)An incredibly underrated single from their self-titled debut album. Loved this ever since I first heard it in 2005. 124. Heart – “White Lightning & Wine” (1976)I first listened to their 1976 debut album, Dreamboat Annie, in 2007 around the time I really started getting into them, and the two album tracks that were major highlights for me were "Sing Child" and this. While I still love the former, it's this one that has aged better for me. Such a kick ass, underrated rock and roll song. One of their best for sure! 123. Garbage – “Stupid Girl” (1996)One of the most iconic alt rock songs of the 90's. Like mostly every song of theirs, I first heard it in 2005 and absolutely loved it. I still get excited whenever it comes on shuffle or M4B Radio. Garbage have two more songs still to come! 122. Heart – “What About Love” (1985)This is one of those songs that I heard on the radio as a kid, but didn't know who sang it until years later (in this case, I didn't know until around 2006). Always loved this song and it's one of my favorites from them. I remember the video for this being really cool too. Heart have five more songs still to come! 121. Natalie Imbruglia – “Smoke” (1998)Another one that was a highlight for me on the album. I only saw this one on VH1 like two times and then never again. It's too bad this song is overlooked, it's a really powerful ballad and my second favorite song of hers ever. My favorite is so obvious it's not even funny.
