Hey everyone! It's been an interesting two weeks of music, capped on Thursday night by a soulDecision concert (see Music News for my review).
Anyway, Casey Stratton's "Blood" concedes to Howie Day's "Collide" this week at the top of my chart. "Collide" will endure over the years, a neat little story complimented by Howie's gentle, affecting singing. Expect it to last another chart at the top.
Ryan Cabrera, Lifehouse, and Michael Gray all move in to the Top 10. Big jump of the week goes to David Morales' "How Would U Feel".
And now for the debuts...
NEW TO THE CHART:
HYPNOTIZE - soulDecision
Another song that's grown on me over the last two weeks, not sure if it will reach the Top 10, but time will tell...
JERK IT OUT - Caesars
Originally released in 2003, this song by a Swedish group is benefitting from an iTunes commercial. This is the third song that I latched on to that was used in an iTunes commercial (the others were "Rock Star" by N.E.R.D. and "Hey Mama" by Black Eyed Peas).
THEY - Jem
Yeah, I know I'm late on this one, but so are the UK and Europe! I've listened to this song on and off since it appeared on the Globalchart in the Fall, but now it's finally kicking in - and I like it much better than "24"!
WRAP MY WORDS AROUND YOU - Daniel Bedingfield
Daniel's latest, not out yet in North America, is getting short shrift for being different from the songs on his Gotta Get Thru This CD. Well change is good and I'm looking forward to hearing his other new songs!
