Well, you got the last two correct, but not quite the first one (I don't hate "Cuts Like A Knife THAT much!) But seriously, I believe the song you were thinking of is "You Don't Bring Me Flowers". The song I speak of was a song that I never liked at all in the first place and its marathon stay at the top made it all the more annoying. 16) The subject presented in this song is also in Whitney Houston's first Top Ten miss on the R&R chart.

Right on the first and last, and you had the right musician for #18, but not quite the right song (as "Secret Garden" had four vocalists).
This song made the lower reaches of the Top 20 of the R&R chart (so it was heard for several weeks on Casey Kasem's AC countdown).

Correct! We are now closing in on the Top Ten!
15) A country duet that I'm surprised never hit the AC chart, since a more "pop-i-fied" version might have done well. The song did hit the Billboard Hot 100, though.
14) Not a "hot Elton John remake".
13) This was the biggest hit on the list for a former member of at least three groups, one of them a one-hit wonder of the mid-70s.
12) I'm surprised this song, about friendship, never became a popular LDD choice. The song was from a mid-90s movie.
11) This woman toured with the Rolling Stones for about a quarter of a century. This song hit the Top 30 on the AC and R&B charts.
GOOD LUCK!!

You got the last three right
15) One of the two was arrested in 2003 for drunk driving.
14) My first clue refers to the melody of this song, whose chorus reminds me of that of a well-known Elton John song that just barely missed the Top 40.

15. Wynonna Judd & Clint Black - A Bad Goodbye? 14. Blessid Union Of Souls - All Along? (kinda reminds me of Tony Danza Tiny Dancer)

Those are correct, and now we enter the Top Ten!
10) A song by an English band that sounds very Beatle-esque.
9) A very obscure song from a man whose first album yielded three big AC hits. This was the first song from his second album.
8) The third and final Top Ten hit from this hard rock band. Just like the first two, it was a power ballad.
7) A duet between two Christian artists that would have made an ideal LDD had it been released to radio.
6) Still another duet, by two that are now married.
GOOD LUCK!!

7) This song involves one of the artists in this batch of songs.

7) Think of two contemporary Christian singers who both had their biggest hits the same year (in fact, they were both on the chart at the same time for five weeks). They both teamed up at least once for a song that was never officially released, but should have been! It would have been a great crossover hit, especially at AC, and I guarantee, if it had been big enough, it would have been popular in the LDD department.
