Never heard of that one. The title of the song poses a question.

Yes!
355) This man's first name is very unusual - sounds more like a surname. Moreover, his surname is a man's first name. This was his second release, which was a Top Ten AC hit.
354) This song wasted absolutely no time hitting #3 on the R&R chart, but that's all the higher it got, due to all the competition in the Top Two, which was dominated that year by a certain record label.
353) The last Top 40 hit by this southern rock band, who's most famous for their song that hit the top five about a year before the survey period began.
352) One of three songs this man contributed to the soundtrack of an animated film. This was the less successful of the two that were released.
351) This song spent an unusually long time on the Hot 100 for how low it peaked, by a woman who had been hitting the charts for over a decade up to that point.
GOOD LUCK!!

Wow, I guess I came up with a few tough clues, as the ones you got right were the last two.
355) I forgot to mention that the artist's first hit was his only one to hit the Top 40. This was the follow-up and the final one, a Top 20 AC hit was a duet.
354) You had the correct year and the correct label, but the wrong song and artist.
353) You were probably thinking of "Sweet Home Alabama", which charted a few months before the beginning of the survey period. You are on the right track, though, since said hit the band was the most known for was also their only Top Ten, as was "Sweet Home Alabama" for Lynyrd Skynyrd.

No to your first guess, yes to your second.
355) This song charted at the opposite end of the decade as your first guess.
354) I guess only one RSO song was in the top two at the time this song peaked at #3. The two other charted songs that week on that label were both on their way down. The label of the other song was taken over by EMI later on that year.

You got #355 correct, but not #354. Just a little later in the year. The same songs that prevented this song from climbing any higher were also in the top two of the Hot 100 for multiple weeks.

That is indeed the song I'm looking for!
350) We're up to the first #1 song of the 1990s - a decade in which songs tended to stay at #1 for multiple weeks and then drop slowly. Though this song spent six weeks at #1, it fell unusually fast, as I found myself getting tired of it quickly. The song is by an Englishman who, at the beginning of the same year, was involved in a one time trio, singing a song that hit #1.
349) This country singer had one of the biggest pop hits of a year near the beginning of the survey period. This was the follow-up.
348) This song has the same title as one of the movies in the Spencer Tracy/Katharine Hepburn series.
347) This song became a very popular request for LDDs that tended to be on the sad side.
346) This was the fifth and final Top 40 hit from this band that sounded like the name of a Spanish getaway.
GOOD LUCK!!

350. Sting - When We Dance? 349. Glen Campbell - Country Boy? 348. Deep Blue Something - Breakfast At Tiffany's? 347. Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men - One Sweet Day? The first two were correct. 348) This movie was said to be a low point in said Tracy/Hepburn series. 347) This song was by another female singer who had a successful chart career like Mariah. 346) The getaway I'm referring to - think in terms of a ship.
