Hi folks,
Hope you all had a good week. It was my first week back to work after being off for 24 days, which felt really weird, but it was mostly ok. Any who onto the chart!
We say farewell to two songs this week, The Struts "Could Have Been Me" drops off from 20 last week and X Ambassadors "Unsteady" drops from 18 last week. That means we have two debuts this week, The Decembrists come in at number 20 with "Why Would I Now?" and Metric debuts at number 18 with "Lie Lie Lie."
Things are shaking up a bit this week as a few songs make big moves, Of Monsters and Men jumps 17-12 with "Empires" - look for this song to jump into the top 10 next week. Mumford and Sons break into the top 10 moving 12-8 with "Ditmus," M.I.A. moves 13-7 with "Borders" making it this weeks greatest gainer. Death Cab for Cutie moves 9-6 with "The Ghosts of Beverly Drive."
In the top 5 this week we see Twenty One Pilots regain a spot and move into the top 5 with "Stressed Out" (6-5), Zedd and Tryoe Sivan hold at 4 with "Papercut", Metric hold for a second week at the third spot with "The Governess." Looks like we have a new number one as Troye Sivan finally gives up the top spot as "Talk Me Down" slips 1-2. Well at least Troye gives up the top spot with that song as he replaces himself in the top spot moving 2-1 with "Wild."
There you have it folks. Also expect a shake-up in the bubbling under section next week as I have added a bunch of new stuff to my new music playlist this week.
In the Way Back Track we pay tribute to the late David Bowie who, had I been more into his music and his public image when he was alive, could be considered a major influence in my own gender.
