So I've had somewhat of an inconsistent chart history (a lot actually), and I was thinking of retroactively making charts so I don't have random gaps and miss out on charting songs I love. However, I'm not sure how time consuming it would be or how it would go, as my tastes are likely different now from my taste in the past. I'm not really concerned about the latter though. Also, for those who have filled in charts, how do you feel about the accuracy or...'records' that came from your retroactive charts? For example, say you have a 9-week #1 from earlier this year, but you charted a song at #1 for 12 weeks when filling in your charts from 2012. Which one would you say is a longer running / bigger #1? I hope I am not rambling too much, just hoping for some insight on past chart completion. Typing this out, I do feel like filling them in, even if it gets a bit time-consuming. I look forward to compiling my chart every week so I think it would be a nice project, if you will, to work on past charts and revisit some forgotten songs.

I ended my chart in December 2008 and then brought it back in April 2011. I did what I call "fill in the blank" charts and it honestly didn't take me that long, although then again, that was during my metalhead phase where I was not exposed to a lot of music - there are so many great songs from that time that I never heard until after they peaked like Orianthi's "According To You", which would've DEFINITELY been a #1 had I known it at the time. Also, I forgot to chart "Untouchable" by Girls Aloud, but that was like my least favorite single of theirs anyway. I say go ahead and do it. It is a fun project and at least for me it was very annoying to have a gap in between charts lol
