Welcome to the Modern rock countdown. It's the first countdown of 2005. This week sees three new debuts. The first is Ashlee Simpsons ex-boyfriend, Ryan Cabrera with "On The Way Down". The Second is a little Bowling For Soup who enter the countdown with "1985". The third and final debut goes to Good Charlotte, with their latest, "I Just Wanna Live". Risers include Jet, who moves from 17 to 14 with "Look What You've Done". Metric climbs three spots to number 13 with "Dead Disco". The weeks bigest climb is The Killers, "Mr. Brightside", which moves from 14 to 11. Matthew Good goes from 11 to 10 with his song "In Love With A Bad Idea". Papa Roach climbs one spot to claim number 7 this week with "Getting Away With Murder". Jimmy Eat World climb two spots to number 5 after being frzen last week with "Pain". Re - entering the top 5 is Sum 41, "We're All To Blame" climbs from 6 to 4 after being stuck at 6 last week. There were some harsh falls this week beggining with Green Day, "American Idiot" falls 5 spots to land at 17 this week. Billy Talent falls from 15 to 18 this week with "River Below". Blink 182's song "Always" falls from 13 to 15. Sum 41 drops from 5 to 8 with their second song on the countdown, "Pieces". Good Charlotte fall from the top 5 to land at 6 with "Hold On". Non movers are plentyfull this week. The Killers remain at number 9 with "Somebody Told Me". U2 spend week 3 at the number 3 spot. Green Day spend their 5th consecutive week at number 2 with "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". Lastly, and most importantly, Metric spend a second consecutive week at number one with "Combat Baby".
