My last chart of 2004 is now posted. Armand Van Helden continues his hold on #1 that may last well into 2005, while songs by Tyler Hilton and Darren Hayes are the fastest risers this week. There are 3 debuts this week. Hopefully during the week I will post reviews of CD's by Tyler, soulDecision, Mitchell Hunter, and Naomi Striemer, which I have acquired within the last few weeks.
I hope everyone enjoys their holidays! My father-in-law passed away on December 17, which explains my off and on appearances here, since we had to travel to the U.S. two times during a week, but we still managed to get thru Christmas.
NEW TO THE CHART:
ALIEN - Mitchell Hunter Great follow-up to "They Might Say", which was #1 on my chart for three appearances (6 weeks). This guy definitely knows how to write for himself and sounds like a great piano man!
DON'T DANCE CLOSE TO ME - soulDecision KISS THE WALLS - soulDecision "Don't Dance" is more along the lines of "Cadillac Dress", while "Kiss The Walls" strives to be more of a pure pop single.
Check out the link in my signature below for the chart and post any comments you have here! Thanks!

Bill, I'm sorry to learn of your family's loss. That's hard enough to deal with without it happening at this time of the year, too. My sincerest condolences go out to you, your wife, and your families. As for your latest chart, there are lots of great entries and moves in the right direction (i.e. towards the top!). How exciting (for me, anyway!) to see TWO debuts from my soulDecision boys! "Kiss the Walls" takes "Greatest Gainer" honors on my chart, moving 21-14. I love the new album. It's a bit short (with only 10 tracks that total less than 40 minutes), but ... I'll take what I can get. ;D I'm tickled pink (and several other colors) to see your chartlove for "The Letter Song" from Tyler Hilton. I will accept all credit for having sent you that link way, way (meaning a couple weeks) before you got the entire album. "When It Comes" finished up as my #3 hit of 2004, so I'd say TyHi is definitely on my "in" list. I will be adding "The Letter Song" after "When It Comes" drops a bit further down my chart. Right now I have so many other songs waiting in line in my bubbling under...! And ... best surprise for last ... This week Mitchell Hunter moves 11-6 on my chart. I owe you that one, you might say! Happy New Year to you and yours, Bill!

I agree with you about the SD album, I couldn't believe how fast it was over, but it is selling in stores here for $9.99, so that might say something... And yes you were the first to tip me on "The Letter Song", which is my favourite from Tyler's CD. So #1 may not be out of reach for Ty this time...
