;D Welcome to the modern rock countdown. We are heading into double digits as we reach week 10 and the final week of 2004. Next week look for the top 30 of 2004. This week Metric takes the number one spot with their song "Combat baby". Will they be our first number one in 2005? wait and see. Also making moves up is Papa roach, they go from 10 to 8 with "Getting away with murder". The killers enter the top ten at number 9 with their hit single "Somebody told me". Matthew Good is just about to enter the top 10 as their song, "In love with a bad idea" climbs from 13 to 11. Blink 182 cool down a little bit but still move up from 14 to 13, after going from 19 to 14 last week. Metric's second hit on the chart goes up one to land at 16 this weekend. The biggest gainer this week is Jet moving from 20 to 17 with "Look what you've done" Other gainers include Th killers newest single "Mr. brightside" from 16 to 14 and Modest mouse with "Ocean breaths salty". Taking hits this week is Green Day for "American idiot", it falls from 8 to 12. Billy Talent falls from 12 to 15 with "River below". Taking the biggest fall this week is Good Charlotte, "Lifestyles of the rich and famous" falls from 15 to 20. Linkin Park also falls one with "Breaking the habit". Songs that didn't move are Jimmy Eat world, enjoying their second week at number 7. Sum 41's "Were all to blame" enjoys it's second week at number 6. U2 spend their second week in the number 3 spot. Green Day spends a record fourth week in the number 2 spot with their second song on the countdown "Boulevard of broken dreams". Green Day may climb again and snatch the number one from Metric.
