What's KP, are those you're initials, an old screen name? Good question. It actually goes all the way back to 2007, when I posted at Pulse. I was one of the younger members on the site at that time, and was a fan of Kid Rock, so I came up with name Kid Pulse. People called me KP for short. I got banned from there and tried going by other names on other sites, but eventually I realized that everyone would always know me as KP.

I thought you were Kid Pulse because you were a kid on Pulse lol, learn something new everyday!

I know I ask everyone this but I'm always interested in hearing everyone's stories - who was the first artist you got into?

If you could change any one thing about music today, what would it be?

I know I ask everyone this but I'm always interested in hearing everyone's stories - who was the first artist you got into? I would have to say Eminem. He was the first artist that got me interested in album tracks and pre-fame material, not to mention his story and personal life outside of the music. Ironically, my fandom of Eminem really peaked in late 2006/early 2007, when he was arguably at his ultimate career lowpoint.

If you could change any one thing about music today, what would it be? I would get rid of the hipster/music critic culture that has taken over the mainstream, and most of the music that comes along with it. The mentality that creates stigmas around artists like Nickelback, Pitbull and Lady GaGa (just to name a few) but then perpetuates ideas like The Black Keys being this generation's Led Zeppelin, "Take Me To Church" being epic and that Adele was some sort of musical savior. I feel like social media has created an unfortunate situation where people have their opinions heavily influenced by these critics/wannabe critics that don't have any real musical credentials. In many cases, people form their opinions on songs before even hearing them, or like songs to go along with the crowd. Looking at the current top 20 on pop, I can count on one hand the amount of songs I have heard. I really don't even care anymore. I'll let people have their musical environment where Sam Smith gets #1 hits and "J Law" outperforms J Lo.

omg I agree with all of that except the Adele shading. that and also the thing that leads me to my next question... What's wrong with Sam Smith? Everything. I usually try to not be a hater, but since this is my thread... His voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Like a squealing duck in a cage or something. "Stay With Me" is seriously one of the worst f*cking songs I have ever heard. This whole white soul trend that started a couple years back was taken to new lows with that song. Why people (especially women) enjoy listening to this guy whine like a sniveling bitch for three minutes is beyond me. I'm not hating on guys being emotional or anything; you know many of my favorite songs are of that nature. But this guy sounds like he's crying into the mic, and not in a "feel his pain" kind of way like Trent Reznor in "Hurt." Also, his look is an epic fail to me. If a blind guy was going to draw a picture of a douchebag, he'd draw Sam Smith. I know not every male artist can look like Mark McGrath, but damn. If that's what young women in western countries these days are attracted to, it's no wonder I mostly attract foreign girls.

Your tip for the Super Bowl with scores? I think both teams are too good for it to end up being a blowout like last year. I also can't see it being low-scoring or high-scoring, because I think that the offenses and defenses of both teams are too good for those respective scenarios. I'm going to go with New Enfland to win 27-23, and Belichick-Brady to finally get their fourth rings.
