You know, I love the Junos and all, but I think my favourite part of Juno weekend is the fact that we have a freakin' hockey game.
We have a team of Juno nominated musicians taking on a team of NHL stars. I think that's just great. It's just celebrating two great things that Canada is all about.
And a big up to Sarah Harmer for being the only woman to participate in the game this year!

All the winners are posted at www.juno-awards.ca I was pleased that "Crabbuckit" by K-Os won Single of the Year. The rest of the awards I could give-or-take. Some of the performances were very good, particularly k.d. lang's rendition of Neil Young's "Helpless" (which, in light of Michael Buble's pop success with "Home", could be a hit single if her record company would release it) and Kalan Porter's seamless performance of "Single". Top it off with The Wailin' Jennys doing "Takin' Care Of Business" and "Share The Land" - Winnipeg got a good show (but the Newfoundland show a few years back was better!).

Billy Talent's debut album was pretty darn good Bill - Ew. Kalan Porter is really, a disgrace to this country being our "Idol".

Big congrats to Sarah Harmer winning the Adult Alternative Album of the year. That award was probably the most watched for award at the Junos this year aside from the typical Single and Album awards but even then it was an important award. I was hoping for Sarah Slean to get it but Sarah Harmer works too. Both are very nice ladies.
