What else has Steve Lillywhite done? U2's first two albums over 20 years ago ("Boy" and "October") as well as their latest... but he contributed to others by them like "The Joshua Tree", "Achtung Baby" and "All That You Can't Leave Behind". He also produced Simple Minds, Talking Heads/David Byrne, The Pogues, Morrissey, and the Rolling Stones, among many. He was also married to the late lamented Kirsty MacColl for a number of years and produced her "Kite" CD.

Awesome to see him come back. His last album was great, despite not having many radio friendly songs (come to think of it, it didn't have any radio-friendly songs. The Remedy was more a fluke.)
I'm interested in seeing what comes out of this cd, especially considering who's producing.

According to the man himself on his webpage, it's still August 9. "Wordplay" is due imminently, it apparently was previewed from his website.
Of course, he's also opening for Alanis Morissette, beginning June 7 in Toronto.

Can't wait! I really liked "The Remedy" ;d That is, until Mix 105.1 here in Florida started overplaying it
