I have to go with the Bee Gees! This era was just before I was born, so I juuuuuust missed out! We have a statue tribute to the Bee Gee's in the suburb of Redcliffe here (where they are from) You've inspired me to give them a listen again! And I can't go past some Alicia Bridges

I was always quite the Donna Summer fan.

Before I even go through the list to pick out my favorites, I'm going to be willing to bet that I definitely love nearly half of the songs on the list. Just skimming through it, it looks like you've compiled a great list, Bill! Here are my favorites from what you've listed:
Bad Girls/Hot Stuff (12 mix) - Donna Summer Boogie Nights - Heatwave Born To Be Alive - Patrick Hernandez Brick House - Commodores Car Wash - Rose Royce Dance Dance Dance (Yowsah Yowsah Yowsah) - Chic Dazz - Brick Doctor's Orders - Carol Douglas Don't Leave Me This Way - Thelma Houston (I also really like Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes' original version, which could also be considered a disco song, though it wasn't released in North America as a single) Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood - Santa Esmeralda Get Down Tonight - K.C. & The Sunshine Band Got To Give It Up - Marvin Gaye The Groove Line - Heatwave He's The Greatest Dancer - Sister Sledge Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel - Tavares I Love The Night Life - Alicia Bridges I Want Your Love - Chic I'll Be Good To You - Brothers Johnson I'm Every Woman - Chaka Khan It Only Takes A Minute - Tavares Jive Talkin' - Bee Gees Knock On Wood - Amii Stewart Le Freak - Chic Let's All Chant - Michael Zager Band Love Hangover - Diana Ross MacArthur Park - Donna Summer More More More - Andrea True Connection More Than A Woman - Bee Gees (I also like Tavares' version) Night Fever - Bee Gees No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) - Barbra Streisand & Donna Summer Pull Up To The Bumper - Grace Jones Rasputin - Boney M. Rock With You - Michael Jackson Rock Your Baby - George McCrae Stayin' Alive - Bee Gees Strawberry Letter 23 - Brothers Johnson T.S.O.P. - MFSB Take Your Time (Do It Right) - S.O.S. Band Tragedy - Bee Gees Turn The Beat Around - Vicki Sue Robinson Whispering/Cherchez La Femme/Se Si Bon - Dr. Buzzard'S Original Savannah Band You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) - Sylvester You Should Be Dancing - Bee Gees Young Hearts Run Free - Candi Staton
Here are a few of my other favorites that weren't on your list. Some of them are - I don't want to say "cliche" - but they're songs that tend to get mentioned a lot on "Great Songs of the Era" lists...others are probably borderline. In fact, I'm not sure if you'd consider all of the songs below Disco.
A Night To Remember - Shalamar Ain't No Stopping Us Now - McFadden & Whitehead And The Beat Goes On - The Whispers Best Of My Love - Emotions Boogie Oogie Oogie - A Taste Of Honey Boogie Shoes - KC & The Sunshine Band Do It ('Til You're Satisfied) - BT Express Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson Enjoy Yourself - The Jacksons (Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love - LTD Heart Of Glass - Blondie I Can't Stand The Rain - Eruption I Need Your Lovin' - Teena Marie I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor If I Can't Have You - Yvonne Elliman It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me - Barry White Keep It Comin' Love - KC & The Sunshine Band Love To Love You Baby - Donna Summer Love You Inside Out - Bee Gees Never Can Say Goodbye - Gloria Gaynor Never Too Much - Luther Vandross Pick Up The Pieces - Average White Band Ring My Bell - Anita Ward Rockin' Chair - Gwen McCrae The Second Time Around - Shalamar Shadow Dancing - Andy Gibb Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground) - The Jacksons Shake Your Groove Thing - Peaches & Herb Shame - Evelyn "Champagne" King Shame Shame Shame - Shirley & Company Upside Down - Diana Ross We Are Family - Sister Sledge

Without quoting a lot of your post, Jason: * I do like Harold Melvin's original of Don't Leave Me This Way, has a totally different vibe about it * Tavares' version of More Than A Woman was a highlight of Saturday Night Fever as was If I Can't Have You by Yvonne Elliman So many songs on your supplementary list came close to the 100, and I like almost all of them, and yes I consider all of them disco: Best Of My Love - Emotions Boogie Oogie Oogie - A Taste Of Honey Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson (Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love - LTD I Can't Stand The Rain - Eruption I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor If I Can't Have You - Yvonne Elliman It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me - Barry White Never Can Say Goodbye - Gloria Gaynor Ring My Bell - Anita Ward Rockin' Chair - Gwen McCrae Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground) - The Jacksons Shame - Evelyn "Champagne" King Some songs didn't make the list simply because they are overplayed.

Awesome list, bill.U.are! Although I have about a 100-way tie for 4th place (!!!), my top 2 disco delights are "More, More, More" from the Andrea True Connection and "Doctor's Orders" phrom Carol Douglas, both of which (wisely) made your list. Phunny story: "Doctor's Orders" by Carol Douglas was out at the same time here as "King Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas. I was convinced the radio DJ's were saying "Carol Douglas" phor both singles, and I marveled at how weird it was that "Carol" sounded like a man on "Kung Fu Fighting." LOLOLOLOL!!! Anyway, you may have noticed that I haven't given you my #3 favorite yet, and that's because I'm so shocked it didn't make your list (or maybe I missed it... cuz you and I both know it should be there!): "Let Me Take You Dancing" by (Little) Bryan Adams (and the Chipmunks). (I added the "Little" and "Chipmunks" on my own. Anybody who knows the song will know why that's phunny!)

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Earth Wind & Fire. Some great disco tunes from them. I always liked Stevie Wonder's "Master Blaster," albeit more reggae than disco. As far as Abba is concerned, Gimme Gimme Gimme was always my favourite from them. Great lists everyone!
