#1* -- 1 1 Heartthrob - Tegan and Sara *
- It's a huge week for Tegan and Sara and the record books this week. I'm going to point out a few of the records that they altered this week
- Heartthrob debuts at #1 while previous album The Con re-enters at #2 on the album chart. Meanwhile, on the Top 100 singles chart, I'm Not Your Hero debuts at #1 and I Was A Fool is new at #2. This is the first time that an artist has ever occupied the Top 2 on both charts simultaneously. Both charts also have an additional T&S appearance in the Top 10 as well. Sainthood returns as the #7 album while Closer returns to the Top 10 singles at #8.
- Tegan and Sara have 11 entries on the chart this week. It's the second most entries in one week for an artist behind Lady GaGa's 13 in May 2011. It brings them to 12 songs inside this week's Top 100 which is the fourth most ever for a single week behind Lady GaGa's 18 in one week in May 2011 and two occasions of Nicki Minaj having 15 for a week in April 2012 and 13 in December 2011.
- With their entries, Tegan and Sara have now had 30 Max 100 hits. That places them as the group with the most chart hits overall. They also earn 4 new Top 40 hits, pushing them ahead as the group with the most Top 40s and with 2 new Top 10 hits, they're also the group with the most Top 10s. Previously, the record holders were Dragonette (most Top 100) and the Dixie Chicks (most Top 40 and Top 10 hits).

Sainthood returns as the #7 album while Closer returns to the Top 10 singles at #8.
- With Tegan and Sara having two songs debut in the Top 2, also a first, they become the first artist in almost a year to debut at #1. The last to do it was Nicki Minaj with Starships. T&S previously debuted at #1 in 2007 with The Con, which spent 11 weeks there. I'm Not Your Hero is the 20th song to debut at #1 in The Max chart history.
- With T&S occupying the Top 2 positions, they become the first to do so since Dragonette did it last October and only the 7th artist to do it in The Max chart history. The others were, Alanis Morissette (for 1 week in 1999), Chantal Kreviazuk (for 2 weeks in 1999), Avril Lavigne (on 2 occasions in 2004), KT Tunstall (for a week in 2005), Lady GaGa (4 different occasions covering 6 weeks in 2011) and Dragonette (for 1 week in 2012).
- Tegan and Sara also experience the second highest first week airplay points (brought to you by iTunes) since I started keeping track in May 2011. Heartthrob opens with 161 airplay points, besting previous high first-week albums like recent releases by Kathleen Edwards and Brandi Carlile. With that, Heartthrob is already a recipient of a Platinum certification, making it their 7th album to receive that. It's also their first #1 album in a row following So Jealous, The Con, Sainthood and Get Along. They recently received some updated certifications for their albums as well, here are the current standings (where * is Platinum and + is Gold):
- The Con - *12
- So Jealous - *9
- This Business Of Art - *4
- If It Was You - *3
- Sainthood - *3
- Under Feet Like Ours - *
- Heartthrob - *
- Get Along - +
Their single Call It Off also got an updated certification based on the new counting system, making it the first song to pass 10x Platinum status with plays of over 220.
- The Con - *12
