* With two entries from Dragonette, they move up the list of Groups with the most Top 40 hits, tying with Tegan and Sara for second place with a total of 16. Both Canadian groups sit just below the record holder, the Dixie Chicks, who have 18. Dragonette also sit below the Dixie Chicks with the most Top 100 chart entries. They earn their 19th, 20th and 21st this week, just one shy of the Chicks' 22 Top 100 hits.
* Nicki Minaj is way ahead of either group mentioned just now as she extends her record for the most Top 100 hits in The Max history by earning her 43rd this week. The Max chart began in 1998 but Nicki's first chart entry came in 2009. Here's a quick run down of the Top 5 most charted acts in The Max Chart history:
1. Nicki Minaj (43 appearances)
2. Lady GaGa (39)
3. Jay-Z (38)
4. Eminem (37)
5. Kanye West/Rihanna (36)
Of course, featured appearances to count as well. Not counting those would paint a different picture. Lady GaGa would be in the lead thanks to her many album tracks that briefly charted. Madonna (35), Sheryl Crow (32), Pink (32) and Alanis Morissette (31) would perhaps be the next four in line as they each have only had several featured appearances and have lead credit on most of their hits.
* Stars have three entries on the chart this week, which makes up half of their overall charting total. The band's biggest hit was with Take Me To The Riot which hit #13 in 2008. This week, in addition to their three entries, they have another song charting.
* Kathleen Edwards returns to the top of the album chart with Voyageur, pushing it to a total of 8 weeks at #1 since its entry back in January. Prior to this week, the album had been tied with Some Nights by fun. as the longest running #1 CD of 2012. It's unlikely that Kathleen or fun. will hold #1 from here on out judging by the list of releases coming out over the next two weeks so the total might stand until the end of the year. The third longest is + by Ed Sheeran which held #1 for 4 weeks over the summer.
