Bill or Bryan might be able to help with this question, assuming you guys had personal charts with influence from CanCon hits at the time.
There was a minor radio hit by who I think was a CanCon female from 1997, sometime in the spring or summer. It was a mid tempo lighter pop song and the girl only had that one hit. I can't think of any lyrics for the life of me but for years after I last heard this song, the chorus would sometimes get stuck in my head. Not anymore.
Is there any place online where I can look at radio hits in Canada from 1997? It wasn't a big hit so unless it's a CHUM-FM Top 100 of 1997 or something, it might not appear on most yearend hits but it could have been a personal chart hit.

She's not Canadian, but the first female I thought of when I saw this thread was Leah Andreone's "It's Alright It's OK." Can you remember any lyrics?

Not a Canadian, but "Four Leaf Clover" by Abra Moore? It was a minor Hot AC hit here in the summer of 1997.

Oh wow! I didn't know this site existed!
I think the song I'm looking for is Angels and Ordinary Men by Wendy Lands. Though I need to find an online sample or check to see if it's on iTunes.
Thanks Bry!

Oh I remember that one! Heard it a lot back then, but didn't think of it as I remember a couple other songs by her.
Can't find a studio version but there's a live version.

Wendy Lands was also the lead singer of Doubledare in the late 80s. They had a minor hit with Date With The Past. More about her in my friend Jaimie Vernon's Pop Encyclopedia jam.canoe.ca/Music/Pop_Encyclopedia/L/Lands_Wendy.html BTW the first volume of the book of the Pop Encyclopedia is out (A to K), the next part is 80% done and should be out before year's end.

I can't find the song anywhere, unfortunately. It's not on iTunes or her website though she did just put out a new album a bit ago. Hmmm...
