On the singles chart, we're still "Wild Ones". Flo Rida and Sia are leading the pack for a fifth week on top, and showing no sign of dropping yet. Gym Class Heroes and Neon Hitch make a strong charge, racing up fifteen places to land at two with "Ass Back Home" while 360 and Gossling are steady at three with "Boys Like You". The fifteen place jump for "Ass Back Home" is the biggest of the week, an amount matched by One Direction, who jump 32-17 with "One Thing".
The death of Whitney Houston re-ignited interest in some of her classics, and three of them return to the top fifty this week. "I Will Always Love You" was always her biggest hit, and it's the biggest this week, re-entering at number eight. Another former number one, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" comes back in at 25, while "I Have Nothing" comes back at 47. Despite being American awards, the Grammy's can affect Australian sales too, and this shows with Adele having two singles re-enter the top fifty. 'Rolling In The Deep" shoots back up to 29, while "Someone Like You" moves back to 48.
As well as the re-entries, there are also some new songs moving in. Worthless woman basher Chris Brown disgustingly comes in as the highest, with "Turn Up The Music" at 13. Katy Perry is in at 22 with "Part Of Me". Jason DeRulo ruins a Toto classic, and this earns him a number 27 debut with "Fight For You". And Fun featuring Janelle Monae are in at 41 with "We Are Young".
On the albums chart, Adele reigns once more, with "21" back up two places to notch up a 28th week on top. This pushes Lana Del Rey back to two after only one week on top with "Born To Die". Whitney Houston re-enters at a new peak of three with her "Greatest Hits" compilation.
That's not all for Whitney, with two more compilations into the top twenty. "The Ultimate Collection" returns to the chart at a new peak of 12, while "The Essential" hits the top fifty for the first time, at 20. "The Bodyguard" soundtrack is also back in, at 33.
Paul McCartney shoots up ten places to fifteen with "Kisses On The Bottom". Adele sees her debut also fare well in the wake of her Grammy success, "19" jumps seventeen places to 29. And John Denver jumps fourteen spots to 36 with "The Ultimate Collection".
Whitney aside, there are several other album debuts. The Fray are in at 18 with "Scars & Stories". The Triple J Nick Cave Tribute, "Straight To You" enters at 32. The awful Die Antwoord come in at 38 with "Tension". Right behind at 39 are the currently touring Roxette with "Hits". Hillsong United enter at 43 with "Live In Miami" and Emeli Sande is the last, entering at 46 with "Our Version Of Events".
