On the singles chart Flo Rida and Sia continue to dominate, sticking to the number one position for a fourth week with "Wild Ones", and showing no signs of stopping yet. With the JJJ Hottest 100 effect over, Laurent Wery rebounds to his peak of two with "Hey Hey Hey". All the Hottest 100 songs from last week fall, except one. 360 and Gossling rise one place to a new peak of three with "Boys Like You".
Drake has his first top ten hit in Australia, with Rihanna's help. "Take Care" rises three places to a new high of nine. Qwote and Pitbull are looking for a top ten slot too, "Throw Your Hands Up" is the biggest mover of the week, rising fifteen places to sit at thirteen. Pitbull also moves into the top twenty with "International Love", while Skrillex jumps six places to 20 with "Bangarang". Meanwhile two ladies each also match the Qwote jump, Rihanna is up fourteen places with "Talk That Talk" at 28, and Lana Del Rey is having a great week apart from "Video Games" dropping to thirty, "Born To Die" shoots up fourteen spots to land at 34.
Five songs enter the top fifty for the first time, while one returns. In at 17 are Gym Class Heroes and Neon Hitch with "Ass Back Home". It's actually the nearest challenger to "Wild Ones" on our iTunes now, so look for it in the top ten for certain next week. Madonna's newie "Give Me All Your Luvin" enters at 25 despite the hindrance of Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. One Direction score a second top fifty hit with "One Thing" in at 32. The debut of Train was annoyingly delayed, but finally "Drive By" is allowed to chart, and it's in at 37. The Glee Cast roudnd out the debuts, entering at 49 with their "We Are Young" cover. And Jessie J returns to the top fifty with "Laserlight" at 49.
On the albums side of the chart it's a big week for debuts, with three in the top five. Lana Del Rey is still trying to be 2012's Adele, and her album "Born To Die" doesn't let her down, debuting straight on top. Right behind her at two is the latest from Leonard Cohen, "Old Ideas". Also old, Van Halen debut at four with "A Different Kind Of Truth".
Due to the big debuts, there isn't a lot of major movement going on, but Rod Stewart does shoot up fourteen places to number ten with his Storyteller Anthology thing. And Ed Sheeran rebounds eleven places with the amazing "+".
Aside from the three huge debuts, Paul McCartney also comes in at 25 with "Kisses On The Bottom". Hermitude debut at 37 with "Hyperparadise". And the "Ultimate Collection" from John Denver is at 50. Returning to the top fifty this week are albums from Pink Floyd, Feist, Evanescence and Icehouse.
