- I imagine a lot of my fans might be disappointed with the top of my chart this week. Oddly enough, it's Nicki's first time at the top of the chart despite having perhaps approximately 30 chart appearances in the last year and a half. (more about this below)
- Turn Me On is the 190th #1 on The Max chart since the beginning of it back when it was a Top 30 in 1998. It's highly possible the 200th #1 will occur sometime this year although last year only had 9 songs advance to #1 but this year there has already been 2.
- Somebody That I Used To Know makes its second chart appearance on The Max 100 (#2 and #89), which might actually be the first time the same song has charted simultaneously by two different acts. I feel like it might have happened before but I'm not entirely sure. The one time it might have happened was with the two versions of Anybody Else But You from the Juno soundtrack but I opted to combine those to occupy one position rather than as two separate songs (and it spent 5 weeks at #1 in 2008).
- In addition to Somebody, there's also the deal with Good Feeling by Flo Rida (#18) and the song it borrows from for its chorus, Levels by Avicii (#73).
- As I mentioned above about not knowing how many songs Nicki Minaj has officially charted, that is in the process of changing. Like many of us did back in the early part of the last decade, I had been keeping an Excel file that kept track easily of each of my charts and also organized information very efficiently with info on the Weeks On, Peak Position, Weeks in the Top 40, Top 10, Weeks at Peak and Debut Position. I stopped tabulating it for my Top 100 back in 2005 until this week when I found a quicker way to organize the info from the charts 2006-present. It's still time consuming but I can still do it in a fraction of the time it would have taken. In a few weeks, I'll be able to grab tons of information from my charts that I haven't been able to easily before. I'm very excited!
