Once again it's Sam Clark on top, as the Neighbours actor manages to see off all competition and notch up a fourth week at number one with 'Broken.' Sam still has quite a healthy lead on top of the chart, and although Lady GaGa moves up to number two this week, she doesn't pose a serious threat to his reign next week. Anything can happen though.
The Killers fall to three this week, now in their thirty-third week in the chart, and they still haven't been outside the top four. Michael Buble is once again stalled at four, he's held that position for five non-consecutive weeks now, and would love to make it into the top three. Pink is one of the week's biggest movers, in what is not a week for many big jumps, as 'I Don't Believe You' rises five places to five. It's now the second best performer from 'Funhouse.' At the tail end of the top ten, both Eskimo Joe and Kelly Clarkson return to the top ten, at the expense of the Black Eyed Peas and The Script. The Script have plummeted nine places to fourteen this week, after spending seventeen weeks in the top ten.
Outside the top ten Owl City has almost made it in now, with 'Fireflies' moving to eleven. The Temper Trap also rebound, moving back up to twelve with 'Sweet Disposition.' Orianthi continues her slow climb, now up to thirteen. Taylor Swift hits the top twenty, Lily Allen jumps four places, and with 'Fader' this time, The Temper Trap are up five places from last weeks number 32 debut. The biggest mover of the week is the Bag Raiders, for the second week in a row. It's only a relatively small gain of six places, but 'Shooting Stars' is now up to twenty-five. It is well on it's way to becoming the dance song of the summer, following in the footsteps of The Potbelleez 'Don't Hold Back' and Ian Carey Project's 'Get Shaky,' which each hit the top ten the past two summers. Can the Bag Raiders score a fourth consecutive bullet next week?
We have three debuts this week. The highest is from The Gossip, who reached the top twenty earlier in the year with 'Heavy Cross.' They're back in the chart this week with 'Love Long Distance' debuting at 34. The second new entry is from Packed To The Rafters actor Hugh Sheridan. He's still charting with his first single 'Just Can't Throw Us Away,' a previous top ten hit, and now he enters with 'All About Me' at 39. The final new entry is a duet between the original Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, and the fifth American Idol Jordin Sparks. 'Art Of Love' debuts at 41.
On the ineligible chart this week The Killers reign once more. They again hold the top three places, but with a new number one. James Morrison has two big debuts, and a rebound to look very strong in the chart, and Fall Out Boy maintain several entries. Kate Bush, Panic At The Disco and Faker remain strong, and after spending the entire year on this chart, The Script's 'Talk You Down' has finally departed, moving onto the coming soon list as it is finally due for an Australian single release. Expect a BIG debut next week for that one.
