Hi gang, this week was such a great week for debut's in this chart week of memories of the past. I've been waiting to do Zombie for quite some time now and over looked many great songs to do so. So for this week only i'm gonna do a Top 10 of debuts from over the years because as I said there were so many great songs I could've done Zombie by The Cranberries debuted at #45 in this chart week way back in 1994. It was the song that really broght them into the mainstream. Released as the lead single to there international smash hit No Need To Argue, Zombie went on to become a #1 smash here in Australia and in many other countries. Zombie spent a massive 7 weeks on top of the A.R.I.A charts and 21 weeks in the TOP 50 becoming the 7th highest selling single of 1995. The Cranberries had a further two TOP 10 singles here in Oz, Ode To My Family (#5) & Salvation (#8). All up they've had 8 TOP 50 singles in Australia. 13/06/1993 Linger #33 11/09/1994 Dreams #30 06/11/1994 Zombie #1 (7 weeks) 26/02/1995 Ode To My Family #5 30/04/1995 I Can't Be With You #30 21/04/1996 Salvation #8 21/07/1996 Free To Decide #43 01/12/1996 When You're Gone #40 The reason why Zombie has a special place to me is because it was officialy the first ever CD single I bought and I can even remember where I bought it and what I was doing at the time, but that's another story

Great song! I think this is one of their best, and 14 years later, I still enjoy it as much as I always have. ;D

It's my favourite song by them and I also bought the CD at the time. It was never released commercially as a single in North America, and got to #22 on the BB airplay chart.

An utterly awesome song; for a long time I considered it my second favourite ever, and the 'zombie' part of 'bluezombie' comes from here.

Excellent song. With such hard-hitting lyrics concerning Irish history (and relatable to other world issues), it's a good thing this song had such a powerful vocalist to deliver them. The dark guitar riffs didn't hurt matters, either.

One of my all-time favorite songs!! The song that made me a Cranberries stan (M4B'ers from 2006 will remember this ). Dolores O'Riordan is one of my favorite vocalists ever. Love this!

I liked this. She was a little "screamy" on this one, but given that it's an angry song, I guess it's forgivable. I remember being amazed by her being painted in all gold in the music video.

This was a song I didn't pay much attention to in 1994, but i sure dig it now. I listen to it on a regular basis.
