That entire set was bloody good. Besdies S41, sure it's a lot of indie bands, but they're all amazing tunes I wish more ppl would hear.

Well it's great to see Kasabian charting so high; I have their self-titled debut and it is a really good album. My favourites are probably "Cutt Off" and "L.S.F."

The only one of those that I'm familiar with is Sum 41 - but I like it.

Jesus..I could have the year end chart finished by Tomorrow...man. Ok, here's positions #10 to #6 on the year end 2005 chart! Enjoy! 10. Papa Roach - "Scars"Man..this song did extremely well. It did alot better than I and many other people expected, I'm sure. Airplay on top 40 really helped give this song a substantial amount of momentum. It's a great song too..and even if it didn't receive the airplay that it did, it still would have been a top 30 song on the year end chart.9. U2 - "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own"This song too a while a grow on me. Most of the growing that it did was after it left the chart, actually. It never really had much of a successful chart life. It only peaked at #9 with 10 weeks charting. The more I listened to this song though, the more, after I "de-charted" it, thought that it did have the chance to make it to the top spot. But anyway, #9 on the year end is still pretty damn good!8. Stereophonics - "Dakota (You Make Me Feel Like The One)"Extremely under-rated also. Took about a month of listening to it before I finally caught on to it, and it ended up spending 6 weeks at #1. Not bad, at the time. However, it's only at #8 due to the fact that the top 7 songs had more of an impact on me than this did.7. The Gorillaz - "Feel Good Inc."I'm 23 years old, but who says I can't get into cartoons, eh? This would be my favorite Gorillaz song to date, without a doubt, hence the #7 spot on the year end chart.6. The Killers - "All These Things That I've Done"Funny, like alot of the top 10 songs to date, this one took a while to grow on me. Although only peaking at #4 on my chart, it had substantial impact on radio.Based on my favorites and music that you haven't seen on the year end chart to date, you could almost guess how my top 5 is shaping up..hint..all top 5 songs were mainstream rock hits.. Of course, I don't want to ruin anything..

Boy oh boy, we're almost there! Here are positions # 5 to #2..with the number one track coming on Boxing day! Enjoy! The 2005 Year End Chart - #5 to #25. Coldplay - "Speed Of Sound"It took a while for this song to grow on me. I've noticed that it's low on alot of other people's year end charts. I was talking to "Kelowna Dan" last night, and he told me about keeping an open mind about songs..although this is not as good as their other stuff, and I'll be honest, it did manage to spend 3 weeks at #1 on the chart this year.4. Green Day - "Holiday"I just like this song..it spent 5 weeks at #1 on my chart during the year..and it just has something that "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" didn't have. I don't think it was overly played as much as "Boulevard" was, but that's ok with me...it just had an impact on me when it was released.3. 3 Doors Down - "Let Me Go"This isn't as good as their other stuff..it did manage to spend 2 weeks at #1. Alot of people hate this song, and that's ok..I just find the chorus catchy.2. My Chemical Romance - "The Ghost Of You"This should be expected to be here. Later on this year, it spent 5 weeks at the top. I'm still finding it catchy. This song was more successful on many charts than "Helena" was, and IMO, this was a breakthrough song for them. I'm hoping i'll expect better things for the next release! What could the #1 Song be? Hmm..here's a hint: "I Gotta Love That CowBell Sound"...Matty

^ HAHAHA no way! I didn't think that would be #1.
- But WICKED cool to see Coldplay, Green Day, and ESPECIALLY.. MCR. What a great way to lead into that #1.
Solid reference btw.

Thanks for being so patient...it was a fun ride, but we're finally at #1. Also, if you would like to check out charts from years past, feel free to click the links below and check them out: www.geocities.com/mattstop20/year04html.html - 2004's Year End Chart www.geocities.com/mattstop20/year03.html - 2003 Year End Chart www.geocities.com/mattstop20/year02.html - 2002 Year End Chart. Also, I've completed PowerStorm Radio's 100 Alternative Rock Songs Of 2005. Click that link below to view it(a thread was done in my radio station forum) freakyflybry.proboards70.com/index.cgi?board=powerstorm&action=display&thread=1135604904Ok, here we go, the #1 Track! 1. Queens of The Stone Age - "Little Sister"Man, I'm sure this might come as a big surprise to many other charters around here, however, Queens of The Stone grab a hold of the top spot this year with their extremely, catchy tune "Little Sister". Just listening to the intro, and I was hooked on the song. It's less than 3 mintues long, but haven't you ever been told before, length doesn't matter Alternative rock radio really did a good job at not overplaying this song. I never really listen to top 40 radio, so I'm not really sure whether or not this was played alot on top 40. That doesn't matter though. The video for this song was extremely catchy too. Finally, this song makes up for the fact that they could have had a few songs that should have been higher on past year end charts, but never could muster anything in the top 10. "Go With The Flow" & "No One Knows" were extremely catchy and popular songs, but they couldn't get any higher than #25 on the 2002 & 2003 charts. They are a talented act, and this song proves it. Also, touring this summer with Nine Inch Nails & Death From Above 1979 also helped their rock status for 2005. Let's not forget about "In My Head" also, which put up a great run this year, and was just as catchy, but never really could have the success that this song did.
Oh, yeah, by the way, this song spent 3 weeks at #1 back in March.
