Yeah, I do agree on that! She's one of my favorite artists out there right now..but I guess I've just found a "niche" with my chart...keeping it alternative rock based..even with "Since u Been Gone" & "Behind These Hazel Eyes" having alot of rock influence in them..they just seem more pop to me... Stay tuned though..I think I'm going to be making a top 20 year end "pop" chart...umm..stay tuned for that!

Good method.
Although I prefer to integrate, just to give the chart a wider scope of diversity.
- REGARDLESS, your chart's rocking dude. Keep it coming.

Ok, thanks for the comments so far. I've currently done my year end chart all the way up to #30. Over the remaining days of the week, I'm going to add 5 singles to the chart for the 6 days to make up the remaining 30 spots. Also, I'll have more commentary for the last 30 spots. I know I'm speedy, but I'll slow down. I promise 2005 Year Ender #59 - #3059. Audioslave - "Be Yourself"58. U2 - "City Of Blinding Lights"57. Jimmy Eat World - "Futures"56. Taproot - "Calling"55. The White Stripes - "Blue Orchid"54. Shinedown - "Save Me"53. Story Of The Year - "We Don't Care Anymore" This track is similiar to my comments about Keane's single. This past year, I've been listen to "Anthem Of Our Dying Day" alot more. I've really under-appreciated that song. This song is still a good one though.52. Sum 41 - "Some Say"51. 3 Doors Down - "Behind Those Eyes"50. Hoobastank - "Disappear"This single spent 17 weeks on the chart, 11 of those weeks were in 2004, but it had it's peak power in 2005, that's why it's on the '05 year ender.49. Muse - "Stockholm Syndrome"48. Bedouin Soundclash - "When The Night Feels My Song"47. Cold - "Happens All The Time"46. All American Rejects - "Move Along"45. Theory Of A Deadman - "Santa Monica"44. Franz Ferdinand - "Do You Want To"43. System Of A Down - "B.Y.O.B."42. Seether - "Remedy"41. Our Lady Peace - "Where Are You?"40. Foo Fighters - "D.O.A."39. Augustana - "Stars & Boulevards"38. The Killers - "Smile Like You Mean It"37. Queens Of The Stone Age - "In My Head"36. Weezer - "Beverly Hills"This song could have been a top 20..but radio definately killed it.35. The Killers - "Mr. Brightside"34. Nada Surf - "Always Love"My most under-appreciated song in 2005. It's such a great tune, but didn't get as much airplay as I would have liked to see.33. Fallout Boy - "Sugar, Were Going Down"32. Foo Fighters - "Best Of You"My comments are exactly the same for this as the Weezer song...radio killed this too.31. The Arcade Fire - "REbellion(Lies)"30. Unwritten Law - "Save Me"To me, they won't have as big of a single as they did with "Seeing Red"...which spent 7 weeks at #1 on my chart and was number 1 on my 2002 year end chart. They made an effort with thing single though...as it was my most anticipated follow up to a last successful album. They fell a little short, IMO, but it's still a decent song.

Ok, back at 'er... I'm a bit late, so i'm going to pust up until #21....THEN, I'll start with the 5 a day thing. Also, I'm throwing in some year enders from years past: Here we go: #30 - #21 2004 Year End:21. Velvet Revolver - "Fall To Pieces" 22. Powderfinger - "On My Mind" 23. Taking Back Sunday - "Decade Under The Influence" 24. Three Days Grace - "Just Like You" 25. Papa Roach - "Getting Away With Murder" 26. The Killers - "Somebody Told Me" 27. U2 - "Vertigo" 28. Smile Empty Soul - "Sillouettes" 29. Story Of The Year - "Anthem Of Our Dying Day" 30. Chevelle - "Vitamin R(Leading Us Along)" #30 - #21 2003 Year End:21 Red Hot Chili Peppers- Can't Stop 22 Seether- Driven Under 23 P.O.D- Sleeping Awake 24 Evanescence- Going Under 25 3 Doors Down- Here Without You 26 I'll Nino- How Can I Live 27 Switchfoot- Meant To Live 28 The Donnas- Take It Off 29 Simple Plan- Addicted 30 Yellowcard- Way Away #30 - #21 2002 Year End:21 Get Free- The Vines 22 I Feel Fine- Riddlin' Kids 23 Aerials- System Of A Down 24 She Loves Me Not- Papa Roach 25 The Red- Chevelle 26 The Energy- Audiovent 27 Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous- Good Charlotte 28 In My Place- Coldplay 29 Keep Fishin' -Weezer 30 Adrianna- Headstrong Ok, let's continue: #29 - #21 2005 Year End:29. Staind - "Right Here" This track is a decent song. It's not their best song that they've released, but it's nice to see that they've released something new. This track is still receiving airplay, even though their second single, "Falling", is playing on radio stations already. 28. Hot Hot Heat - "Middle Of Nowhere"When Hot Hot Heat first released their their album, I just assumed that "Goodnight Goodnight" would be a surefire top 30 at the end of the year. However, the more I listened to this song, it grew on me...many stations are still having this into heavy rotation.27. Weezer - "We're All On Drugs""Beverly Hills" got killed by radio...as this single was being released, I said to myself..please..please do not like this one get overplayed too..and it's a good thing that it didn't. Many stations are STILL playing "Beverly Hills"..which is puts this song to an advantage..because It didn't get overplayed. It's just a catchy song.26. My Chemical Romance - "Helena"After "Ghost Of You" came out as their 3rd single..I started listening to this one more and more. Even though it peaked at #5 on my top 30 chart, I still think that I might have under estimated the impact this song had on radio. "I'm Not Ok"..was played a fair amount...and just as that song started getting decent airplay, they released "Helena", which really made them stand out.25. Snow Patrol - "Chocolate"A very under-appreciated song. Not to many stations or charts picked up on this song, I don't think. Even with it's peak of #6 on my chart, It still had quite a few spins in winamp even after it's chart departure. This might also have something to do with the fact that I didn't give "Run" as much attention as I should have..and it turned out to be such a great melodic tune.24. Rise Against - "Swing Life Away"I first heard this song on "Punk Goes Accoustic"..but it doesn't matter, both the accoustic version & regular versions are both great. This really got me back into the punkish scene again in 2005.23. Green Day - "Wake Me Up When September Ends"I don't know...I really just don't know. I picked up on this song early enough before it became overplayed. I still like the song. Although it's not the best song from "American Idiot"..it gives the other tracks on their album a run for their money.22. Switchfoot - "Stars"Mainstream radio picked up on this one slowly I think. I was waiting for a release from them since "Dare You To Move". They haven't disappointed me so far, and I'm not sure if they will. Their music has a somewhat "plainess" to them..but that type of music is something that I can get into...it's nice to just listen to a song without getting technical and trying to figure out what the song is about.21. Nine Inch Nails - "The Hand That Feeds"Another anticipated release. Althought I think that "Only" might edge out this song...this song peaked higher on the chart and had a greater impact on radio, and, IMO, didn't get overplayed to a great extent.Ok, #20 to #15..sometime soon...

Hot Hot Heat (that was my favourite of theirs too), Weezer, Snow Patrol, Green Day and Nine Inch Nails are all very good. ;D "Chocolate" reached #10 on my chart in April 2004 and was in my Top 100 of that year; definately one of the highlights of "Final Straw" for me.

Ok, I'm back now...it's do a rewind before I move on. #20 - #16 2004 Year End Chart16. Switchfoot - "Dare You To Move" 17. Jet - "Rollover DJ" 18. Modest Mouse - "Ocean Breathes Salty" 19. 311 - "Love Song" 20. Lostprophets - "Wake Up(Make A Move)" #20 - #16 2003 Year End Chart16 Chevelle - Send The Pain Below 17 A Perfect Circle - Weak & Powerless 18 Finch - What Is It To Burn 19 Fuel - Won't Back Down 20 Janes Addiction - Just Because #20 - #16 2002 Year End Chart16 Defy You - The Offspring 17 Hero - Chad Kroeger feat. Josey Scott 18 Up All Night - Unwritten Law 19 Love Burns - B.R.M.C. 20 I Am Mine - Pearl Jam Ok, on with this year's #20 to #16 spot.20. Sum 41 - "Pieces"Of the best Sum41 songs to date. It's catchy, and it seemed to have a successful life on radio and
music channels, so that's why it's at the top 20...without being overplayed.19. The Offspring - "Can't Repeat"Remember? The Offspring actually had a single off their greatest hits album? Yeah, not too many people remember this song, so obviously, it wasn't overplayed. It's a pretty catchy tune also, so that helps it's year end position.18. Kasabian - "L.S.F.(Lost Souls Forever)"Another under-rated track released this year. Just extremely catchy..and the organs really help the song stand out, IMO..this was released last spring, but I'm only charting it now..unfortunately. 17. Jack's Mannequin - "The Mixed Tape"I've always liked Something Corporate, but it took the lead singer to branch off and go in another direction for them to have an extreme impact on my musical tastes. Andrew McMahon, you've done well! 16. Matt Mays - "Cocaine Cowgirl" This is by far the best Canadian tune on my year end chart. Actually, they have the highest charting position by a Canadian artist on this year's year end. This is a catchy tune, IMO. Also, it never really got overplayed, due to the fact that many local radio stations where I was never really have the song the credit that it deserved..but I did...as it spent 2 weeks at #1 back in May.#15 to #11 coming Saturday, I hope.
