It's amazing how a record can be so massive all around the world, and fail to even crack the bottom of the American charts, which explains why I'd never heard it before. I hadn't been very familiar with UK pop music until I joined this board - for example, till a few months ago I'd never heard of Liberty X.

MASSIVE Dance hit late last year. #1 in the UK among other countries. The song was simply massive. Well, that figures. It's amazing how a record can be so massive all around the world, and fail to even crack the bottom of the American charts, which explains why I'd never heard it before. I hadn't been very familiar with UK pop music until I joined this board - for example, till a few months ago I'd never heard of Liberty X. americans have no taste when it comes 2 music!!!!! so many international artists who really do have talent should of hit it big like daniel powter, james blunt, delta goodrem but the last few years c's the same boring music top the charts n most of the songs r not that rememberable!!!!!! we all know cos we r music lovers but in a few years time the average joe will have no idea what song or who sings ''21 questions'', ''i know what you want'', ''shake ya tailefeather'' or ''right thurr'' are!!!!!! all of which hit it big in america, they r just not memorable!!!!! there is so much good hip/hop, rock n pop that isn't american that just does not hit the american market cos the same stupid artists dominate the charts!!!!! they have 1 great song n the rest of the songs do well 2!!!! case in point, usher, 50 cent n more recently mariah carey!!!!!! n it's cos of america that these bozo's do well world wide!!!!!! it amazes me with the yanks we have on these boards cos they have a great appreciation of global music!!!!! also ''call on me'' was played in a club i went 2 in new york so i guess it was released!!!!! but then again i went 2 this club by request cos i was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO sick of the music played of all the clubs i went 2 over there in america!!!! they all played the same bloody songs!!!! candy shop then 1, 2 step then a little bit then gasolina then in da club then oye mi canto then how we do (of course featured 50 cent)!!!!!! n then don't MESS with my heart then back 2 50 cent.... i'm sure u get the drift!!!!!! how these clubs were packed all the time is unclear 2 me but 1 thing that is clear is that AMERICANS don't understand GOOD music!!!!! how can u overplay 50 cent n still think it's not enough 50 cent??

I can definately agree with goodie that in general, Americans can be very ignorant to music. Luckily I have explored worldwide music, and hell, 90% of the music I buy these days come from other countries.
