16. Beyoncé - Naughty Girl PEAK: #3Tonight I'll be your naughty girl I'm callin all my girls We're gonna turn this party out I know you want my body Tonight I'll be your naughty girl I'm callin all my girls I see you look me up and down And I came to partyHere's the highest of three appearances by Beyoncé on my year-end chart, and while her only #1 was with Destiny's Child, this #3 peaker from this past April was my favourite song of hers this year. 15. Evanescence - My Immortal PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)These wounds won't seem to heal This pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase
When you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears And i've held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of meWhen I got their album "Fallen" last year, this stood out because it was a completely different mood from the rest of the tracks, and was always one of my favourites. However, I ended up liking this even more when the radio version came out, and Evanescence got a 3-week #1 back in January with this song.

Looking good.
Naughty Girl has a best shot at top ten on mine, but there's so many songs battling for the #9 and #10 spots.
I think I know who #1 is on your list....

Beyonce and Evanescence! Both peaked at #2 earlier this year for me! Nice! Who do we think will take the top spot? (Just curious...)

14. Hilary Duff - Come Clean PEAK: #2Let the rain fall down And wake my dreams Let it wash away My sanity 'Cause I wanna feel the thunder I wanna scream Let the rain fall down I'm coming clean, I'm coming cleanAt #14 is the highest entry for 17-year-old actress turned singer Hilary Duff, with a song that peaked at #2 for 3 weeks back in February. The song that prevented her from getting another #1 following her hit from last year, "So Yesterday", is still to come... but is it #1? 13. Maroon 5 - This Love PEAK: #4This love has taken its toll on me She said Goodbye too many times before And her heart is breaking in front of me I have no choice cause I won't say goodbye anymoreLast year, after "Harder To Breathe" came in at #54 for the year, this catchier song made me notice Maroon 5 even more, as it spent 4 weeks at #4 in March. They have one more single to come... but did "She Will Be Loved" pull off #1 for the entire year?

Come Clean and This Love! Peaked at #5 and at #1 (4 Weeks), respectively. Maroon 5 is a contender for #1 on my year-end chart. Will they take it? It remains to be seen. To keep you all from the painful suspense, I supply you with - *DRUMROLL!* - a dancing banana! ;D

12. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly. I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Make a wish, take a chance, Make a change, and break away. Out of the darkness and into the sun. But I won't forget all the ones that I love. I'll take a risk, take a chance, Make a change, and break away 2 years ago, she won the first American Idol competition, and in 2004 she proved her staying power by releasing this Avril Lavigne-written track, which became her first #1 on my chart, spending 2 weeks at #1 in September. You can probably expect "Since U Been Gone" and whatever other singles she releases off her new album "Breakaway" in my 2005 chart. 11. Ashlee Simpson - Pieces Of Me PEAK: #3Ohhhh It seems like I can finally Rest my head on something real I like the way that feels Ohhhh It’s as if you know me better Than I ever knew myself I love how you can tell All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me All the pieces, pieces, pieces of meIn 2004, Jessica's little sister emerged out of her sister's shadow and became a hit artist in her own right; this is Ashlee's highest entry in the top 100, and also the highest song in here that didn't hit #1 on any weekly charts; it peaked at #3 back in August for 4 weeks. That means that, not only is the entire top 10 composed of songs that reached #1 on my chart... but all of them were successive #1's! Just as a recap, here's a list of all the songs that hit #1 on my chart this year, and where they ranked on my year-end: Evanescence - My Immortal #15Christina Aguilera - The Voice Within #43Britney Spears - Toxic Blink 182 - I Miss You Avril Lavigne - Don't Tell Me Usher - Burn Hoobastank - The Reason Britney Spears - Everytime Seether f/Amy Lee - Broken Avril Lavigne - My Happy Ending Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved Ryan Cabrera - On The Way DownKelly Clarkson - Breakaway #12Britney Spears - My Prerogative #32Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath #30U2 - Vertigo #38Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For? #69Avril Lavigne - Nobody's Home #18Ryan Cabrera - True #64Which one will be #1? Find out within the next week or so!
