I don't think Kevin will go home for a long time. Too many people love him because he's "cute." I predict he'll make it at least to the Top 5...depending on how long it takes for other voters to outnumber his fan base that constantly votes for him. He absolutely butchered "Part Time Lovers" last week and wasn't even in the bottom three. That was one of my favorite Stevie songs. I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to it the same way again. Sadly, I agree with Gerardo's assessment. I think Lisa will probably be bounced out tomorrow. I like her. For such a young girl, she's got a nice voice. But she hasn't distinguished herself with a personality. In order to get the audience to like you, you've got to give them a personality to root for. I thought she was better than Kevin & Bucky, but they've both got "root-worthy" personalities that will save them this week.

So there's a version of "I Walk the Line" by Live very similar to Chris' performance last night.
I guess we know what Chris' style is. Just copy obscure rock covers and make them look original.

I'm really sick of Chris. He refuses to go outside his comfort zone. Everything has to be with that rock edge for him. Why is he so scared to TRY? I mean, honestly! I bet on R&B night he'll make the song rock again, and the judges will stick their tongues up his ass, yet again.

I bet on R&B night he'll make the song rock again, and the judges will stick their tongues up his ass, yet again. He'll do what he's been doing. He'll find a rock cover of an R&B song and claim it's his original spin.

Apparently this week they're doing music from the 21st Century (2000-2006). I wonder what everyone will sing on Tuesday!

www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11994985/Daughtry catches flack for latest ‘Idol’ song Fans accuse hopeful of copying ‘I Walk the Line’ from the band Live “American Idol” chat rooms are buzzing over a controversy surrounding Chris Daughtry’s version of “I Walk the Line.” Judges praised Daughtry for making the song his own when he sang it on the last episode. But some fans say the version was not his own, but ripped off from a version done by the band Live in 2001. One fan posted a message saying “I just want to punch him in his bald head.” Another message reads “This guy is a rip off. Judges are plain dumb.” And a third message reads “Live singer Ed Kowalczyk called and said that he would like his vocal style” back. © 2006 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
