-Our Lady Peace score their first Top 10 hit in almost two years this week with 'Annie', which inches up just one to #10. Their last time here was with 'All My Friends'. OLP had a huge #1 smash in 2001 with 'Clumsy' which went on to become the #2 song of the year. Since late 2002, they've had a few attempts at making the Top 10 but always came up short with tracks like 'Imagine', 'Julia' and 'Innocent', which came closest when it hit #13 for three weeks.
-Melissa McClelland becomes the latest artist to hit #1 in 2004. 2004 is almost record year for #1s so far with a total of 16 chart toppers so far this year. That ties the record for most #1s within a calender year with 2000, which also had 16. Melissa is the second artist to hit #1 with her first single in 2004 after Maroon 5 did it with 'This Love'.
-Martina Sorbara has the biggest mover and greatest gainer with 'Ripples', her latest, which is up 31-18 this week.
-Kate Maki has been rising up the Top 40 for 22 weeks and still maintains her bullet as she inches up 13-12 with 'To Be Good'. Top 10 is looking decent for her if she can maintain her gains, which have been minimal at best.
-Top 40 entries come from Switchfoot who move in at #36 with their first single 'Meant To Live' and Sheryl Crow, whose latest is from her Best Of CD called 'Light In Your Eyes' at #33.
