On MT40, Martina Sorbara has had (not coutning her single Xmas song) 7 #1s in a row! From her first hit onward!
Bonnie & Clyde II - 9 weeks (2002) Once I Was Mighty - 6 weeks (2003) The End Of The World - 9 weeks (2003) This Ship - 2 weeks (2003) Claudia - 5 weeks (2003/04) Casanova - 3 weeks (2004) Withered On The Vine - 4 weeks (2004)
The first six are from her debut CD.
Chantal had five in a row:
Feels Like Home - 13 weeks (1999) Before You - 13 weeks (1999/00) Dear Life - 2 weeks (2000) Souls - 8 weeks (2000) Far Away - 7 weeks (2001) Feels Like Home and Before You were almost back-to-back. Michelle BranchAll You Wanted (4 weeks) Goodbye To You (5 weeks) Game of Love (1 week) Are You Happy Now? (7 weeks) Breathe (5 weeks) "Til I Get Over You" broke the streak by peaking at #6. Kelly Clarkson is currently on her 4th straight #1, but I'm not sure if her next single will get #1. Christina Aguilera had 3 in a row. I think thats the record for my chart.
5 weeks - Beautiful 2 weeks - Fighter 3 weeks - Can't Hold Us Down
Also, Kelly Rowland had 2 back to back #1s.
8 weeks - Dilemma and then it was knocked out by 2 weeks - Stole
Kelly Rowland also holds the title of having the most consecutive weeks at #1.
