Just wanted to post this for fun... It's a new month and we just got our new tape of music videos for October. Here's what I'll be hearing for the next month at work:
Lola's Theme - Shape: UK Backflip - Raven Symone Suds In The Bucket - Sara Evans (previously on August tape) Run - Snow Patrol (holdover from September tape) Dragonstea Din Tei - O-Zone Break Bread - I-20 feat. Ludacris Leave (Get Out) - JoJo (holdover from September tape) Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand (holdover from September tape) Shadow - Ashlee Simpson Breakaway - Kelly Clarkson Too Much Of A Good Thing - Alan Jackson Our Lips Are Sealed - Hilary Duff & Haylie Duff (holdover from September tape) I Like That - Houston feat. Chingy, Nate Dogg, & I-20 (holdover from September tape) U Saved Me - R. Kelly Breaking The Broken - Sparta Locked Up (Remix) - Akon feat. Styles (holdover from September tape) Me & Emily - Rachel Proctor (holdover from September tape) Live Like You Were Dying - Tim McGraw
Good tape this month! There's nothing on here that I can't tolerate for 30 days...although I'm not a huge fan of the Sara Evans song or the Rachel Proctor song. (do you know how depressing it is to have to listen to a song about domestic abuse 6 or 7 times a day?)

Hilary & Haylie are still on? i first heard that song back in when APRIL??
and why is Jojo still on there as well, at least they should have put the new one on instead of the already dated "Leave"
aside from that it's an "ok" compilation in my books, i would get burnt on it quick though

The record labels pay for promotional spots on display areas in our store and this tape counts as a promotional spot. My guess is that Hollywood Records is paying to promote the "Cinderella Story" soundtrack and that's what's going on. I don't know about the deal with JoJo. Maybe her newest video hadn't been completed enough time in advance to be included on the tape or not. I'm not completely sure what the process is to choose videos. As I said above, I know record labels pay for a spot on the tape. But I don't know if they pay for a spot and then the company I work for chooses which video/artist from that label gets the spot on the tape....or if the labels pay for a specific song to be on the tape... At any rate, in the span of the 6 hours from the time I put in the tape until I got off work, I am already burned out on The O-Zone song. Very catchy, but very irritating if you have to hear it constantly. And the video is SO WEIRD!

You have to listen to this tape 6-7 times a day for a month? ugh! Yep. We get a new one every month. I work 5 days a week, 7-8 hours a day. And this month's tape is only a little over an hour long. So, conceivably, I could hear some of those songs at least 6 times in one day...probably not 7, though. I don't really have a negative thing to say about any of the above songs other than Rachel Proctor & Sara Evans....but after hearing the tape today, the songs that I'll probably enjoy the most throughout the month are: Shape: UK Raven Symone Kelly Clarkson Houston and Tim McGraw The others range from tolerable to "all right."

Still seems extreme! I don't think I'd be able to listen to my favourite CDs 6 times a day for a month!

Still seems extreme! I don't think I'd be able to listen to my favourite CDs 6 times a day for a month! Then imagine how it is to listen to something you don't even like 6 times a day for a month! There have been months in the past where I've only liked one or two songs on the entire tape. After a while, you just sort of start to tune out the music until it's playing, but you aren't really paying attention to it.
