Melissa Etheridge is well-known for breaking barriers in her musical career. She became a female rocker in a male-dominated genre. She began her career in the late 80s with minimal success, other than a few semi-hits. Her big success would come with 1993's "Yes I Am" album. Prior to this album's release, Melissa declared that she was indeed a lesbian. The announcement did nothing to hurt sales of the album, as it became one of the most popular releases of the year and made Melissa a household name. With the shifting tides of the music industry, Etheridge has seen her mainstream popularity erode, but she continues to record today and is still supported by a faithful fan base.

Come To My Window. 2001 was also a great single that's not on the list.

Um, Dude, like that's not one of the choices on the list. You're supposed to pick one of the choices that Jason lists. You aren't allowed to pick anything else ... not even your nose .... * Jason passes David a note * Oh, that's not the name of a song? Nevermind BTW, I chose "Come to My Window."

I Want To Be In Love was left off. That was a GREAT song from 2001. I vote that one with 'Come To My Window' a close second.
