I didn't really know where to put this thread. It's not a chart and it's not quite news. This is the closest thing I could find.
Every month at work, we get a new video tape to play that has music videos on it. Usually, the tape is about 2 hours long. So working a 8 or 9 hour day, I hear these songs roughly 5 or 6 times a day, 5 days a week. We just got our July tape in on Tuesday. Here's what I'll be hearing at work for the month of July:
"Be Your Girl" by Teedra Moses "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys (hold over from May and June tapes) "Accidentally In Love" by Counting Crows (hold over from June) "Pieces Of Me" by Ashlee Simpson "Suds In The Bucket" by Sara Evans "Pony Ride" by Bumblebeez 81 "Down" by Blink 182 "Maybe" by N.E.R.D. "Don't Say Nuthin'" by The Roots (hold over from June) "What's Happnin'!" by Ying Yang Twins f/ Trick Daddy (hold over from June) "Game Over" by Lil' Flip (hold over from May and June) "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys "This Way" by Dilated Peoples f/ Kanye West (hold over from June) "Everything" by Alanis Morissette "Don't Tell Me" by Avril Lavigne "Run Away" by Live f/ Shelby Lynne "Simple Life" by Carolyn Dawn Johnson (hold over from June) "Irish Blood, English Heart" by Morrissey "Amazing" by George Michael (hold over from June) "Summer Sunshine" by The Corrs (hold over from June)
And there it is...

I work at Circuit City.
You know, this tape is actually pretty good, though. I think the only songs I'd do without are Bumblebeez 81 (because it's a little freaky), The Corrs, and Blink 182. I like/can tolerate all of the other songs. And I'll never get to hear Alanis or Morrissey. The videos are there and you can kind of hear the music...but there are no vocals. It's like the vocals have been muted.
