I have a question about an e-mail that I composed in Hotmail. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I wrote an e-mail earlier this afternoon and when I clicked on "send," the e-mail went off the screen, but no "Message Sent" confirmation came up. So when I clicked the "back" button, the e-mail fields were blank & everything that I wrote was gone. Is there any way to retrieve what I wrote? Or is there some temp folder on my computer where the contents of this message might be hiding? I would really hate to have to re-write the whole e-mail if I don't have to. Any help would be much appreciated!

When you hit the back button (in Hotmail), the page automatically refreshes... So, there's really no way to retrieve what you wrote. In the future, however, if this happens again, what you can do is: Press the "ALT" key... Select "File / Work Offline"... Then, click the BACK button (until you get to the page with your message on it)... Then press "ALT" again, and de-select "File / Work Offline".
Also, you may want to check the "Drafts" and "Sent Mail" folders to see if there's a copy of your message in there... Depending on your settings, sometimes it saves a copy of your message in one of those folders, even if it didn't send. I doubt it'll be there, but it's worth a try.

Thanks Drew! I'll remember to do that in the future.

I always highlight what I wrote in the email, and select "copy" before I hit send. That way, if a situation comes up such as yours, all I have to do is hit "Paste", and voila, it's back! That's my email tip..lol

It's funny, because that's exactly what went through my mind before I hit send, because it wasn't a short e-mail. "I should copy this before I send it." That's what I get for not doing that... LOL!

Why are you still using hotmail anyway?
