I guess some time ago Windows installed Dr Watson on my computer when i crashed. Well now, i always get an error message when i try to move big files from one folder to another. Well I found this support.microsoft.com/?scid=http%3a%2f%2fwww.support.microsoft.com%2fkb%2f188296%2fen-us%2fI usually stay away from registry stuff cause it freaks me out. It doesn't look difficult. Do you guys go into your registry? How do you back up a registry? Is this something i can do myself without buggering it up?

you can back-it up different ways... which operating system (os) do you have? I modify my registry and others quite often. As long as you don't delete the wrong thing in your registry then you'll be fine. there are diff programs that do a good job at backing-up the registry. it tells you on microsoft's website also on what to do to back it up and restore it.
it is simple on micros web site... just go and find that entry... export, save, and then delete

I have XP. It just scares me going into the registry. Eventhough the change looks easy to make, i would hate that i would have to start all over from scratch.
I have a question for you. Is there such a program out there that is like Windows Explorer that will allow me to move files around in my computer bypassing Explorer?
