Windows Messenger is a big pain, it comes with Windows XP. It's recommended that you download the latest version at messenger.msn.com

To remove windows messenger go to C:\Program Files Then delete Messenger (The Folder) Next time post this in Computer Lounge Someone move this to the computer lounge. Anyway... It would be better to remove Windows Messenger from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. This way, it will be removed from the registry and, your computer won't be looking for it.
