When I opened up Bookmarks this morning, my links weren't there. I didn't erase them, or tamper with it. I want my links back! Can anybody help?

When I opened up Bookmarks this morning, my links weren't there. I didn't erase them, or tamper with it. I want my links back! Can anybody help? Firefox stores all of its bookmarks in this file --> C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\PROFILE_NAME\bookmarks.htmlIf the "bookmarks.html" file is missing from that location, then you've lost your bookmarks. I would suggest using some data recovery tool to recover your bookmarks. There's no guarantee that this will work but, it's worth a try... Otherwise, you'll have to add them back manually.
Any of these programs can restore deleted files... PC Inspector:www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htmRecover and Restore Deleted Files:www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/REST2514.EXERestoration:www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.htmlOther Data Recovery Tools:www.webattack.com/Freeware/system/fwdatarecovery.shtml
Also, try installing the Bookmarks Backup Plugin to prevent this from happening again --> www.pikey.me.uk/mozilla/
System Restore will not work in this case, since the bookmarks are stored in an HTML file and, not in the system registry. So, don't bother running System Restore...

Ok, thanks Drew. Well...they were all erased, but I'll be sure to use one of these tools!
